| I like IceDoctor. Is this like the old DiskSalv? Or Quarterback Tools & Quarterback Tools Deluxe? There were some others.
Maybe it will find its way to OS4 someday?

I just barely remember those tools today .. :)
But yeah something similar. Im not sure if DiskSalv
actually repaired, maybe it did.
Anyway, the idea is to repair and/or salvage files from broken volumes.

| Sounds like it is maturing fairly fast! Hopefully soon all major bugs will be found/removed  . And hopefully we might see any OS4 version eventually...

Disksalv was the most commonly used and recommended disk salvage and repair tool for FFS. Once PFS (and then SFS) were more widely adopted, along with the HD size going past the 4.3GB limit, tools like DS became obsolete and not as useful.

As it is coded is AmigaE I'm sure you could help in that regard.
Porting it to C would be better aswell. But it's up to the author to
decide if he wants to share his hard work. It may also be very tied
to MorphOS making it hard to port to AmigaOS.
But as AmigaOS already have SFS2 and JXFS I fail to see the need
for another AmigaOS only FS. Or is this FS that much better than
SFS2 or JXFS?
NTFS and ext2/3 would be better IMO, especially NTFS for compatibility
with large USB sticks or external HDD's.

o Greatly improved scanning speed in some situations.
o IceDoctor in some situations repaired lots of meta
that wasnt really broke, fixed.
o Empty files could not get salvaged, fixed.
o Modification date was not preserved for salvaged files, fixed.
o Salvaging in general has been optimised to be faster.
o Cosmetic changes.
o Readme additions/improvements.
