The new ColdFusion prototype has been printed! It was printed by an UK company called RAK.

This prototype has Firewire (400mbps), USB (1.1), AC97 sound, SDRam, 150Mhz Coldfire and works in the Amiga 4000 (Actually any Amiga with a fast slot and no other CPU)

See Coldfire website for more infor and pictures!

Perfect for people that didn't get a PPC card and plan to keep their old hardware running :) I wonder what it's going to do with the 060 card prices if it gets released ..

Just had a look at the planed A1200 version, it says £160-£200.

@Eric_Z

well it does have a certain geek factor to it. I know I'm buying one when Oli gets it finished. ... Now if he'd only bypass or replace the mediator for a full speed pci bus.

Actually I didn't want to say that a AmigaOne is bad. I even buy one myself when OS4 is out.

But the coldfire project is, errr.... cool! It brings life back to my good old A1200.

CU Gio.

Way cooler than A1, Pegasos and all the motherboards made in Taiwan?

Well, yes it is cool. Great for those who never bought a PPC card. But it's just too bad that you cannot run OS 4 on it. That would spur a few sales. But then again, like other things, we need to keep moving forward. Still, it will be a good upgrade for the classic machines up to OS3.9.
