But will Amiga DE use it? (Personally I hope so)

intent?s Java solutions now support PersonalJava and J2ME VMs and an expanding range of J2ME JSR profiles. Tao?s unique VM technology can support the co-existence of PersonalJava and MIDP2.0 on a single VM implementation, improving efficiency and performance whilst reducing memory footprint and cost.

Lots of neat new stuff.

Amiga should put up a couple of pages on the DE stuff me thinks, when was that overall website update coming ?

Yes, that is what they have been waiting for so they can do the next release of DE/AA.

I think we remember Fleecy's comments abour a 'world class' browser appearing in later revisions of os4x.

Could this latest intent release have something to do with it?

Click on the following PDF link:

http://tao-group.com/news_events/resources/brand_guidelines/images/Qi-Factsheet.pdf

Also anyone else notice the word Amiga in relation to the Managed Applications section .

Yep

It's also in the intent Whitepaper http://tao-group.com/news_events/resources/logos/images/intent_2_Overview_2.pdf

And no, I do not necessarily think that this is what Fleecy talked about because he said 4.1 for the browser and DE integration is yet set for 4.2, but I recently tried Espials http://www.espial.com Escape browser which also runs on intent (completely Java, free download after registration)

But yet I may be proven wrong. And I wouldn't mind

Uhh, I forgot

void main(void) { printf("Hello AmigaWorld.net\n"); }

(first post here..)

(Why does the URL not work. grr)

I just saw that they mention Amiga in the factsheet for Qi on the 3rd page in the line "Managed Applications"...
