| I see that it's pretty easy to create a standalone script using an old one. I just started Gimp on its own WB window. It opens new possibilities.
Now that you probably rewrote a big part of the X11 server, I hope that you can optimise it.
Thanks for your continued work. Last edited by elwood on 21-Jun-2012 at 02:53 PM.

| Brilliant update!
AmiCygnix on Workbench feature works well here on a 440flex with Radeon9250 - nice that the AmiCygnix window can also be iconified.
So far seems to run a bit quicker and resizing/moving windows seems a bit smoother.
Thanks for the update! |

| Abiword now works here. Thank you!
I would request the Installer script to use FONTS: not SYS:Fonts when accessing fonts. I think it's safe to assume that assign is here to stay. |

| Where do we report problems with AmiCygnix? I have noticed some problem with the new prefs program like these:
myX11Setup starts in German if I move it to SYS:Prefs. Snoopy shows that it is looking in PROGDIR: and LOCALE: for it's catalogs. It probably should look in Cygnix: too.
When myX11Setup opens in English the gadgets hang over the right border by a lot. The default window size should be larger for English. Can the window size be saved?
Snoopy shows myX11Setup trying to open a port continuously when the window is active. I have thousands of lines in Snoopy reading: myX11Setup : o.k. = [exec] FindPort("XGeekPort.0") [15uS] |

Did you install the tools package too or only the base package? Without the tools package, the default browser is "Sys:Utilities/OWB/OWB". If you've installed the tools package, please try to launch NetSurf by calling "nsgtk" in an Amiga shell. Maybe you get an error message.

Basically it's not a good idea to move parts of the AmiCygnix installation to other places. This was never planned. But if you want to do so, please copy the catalogs to "LOCALE:".
Please report problems to the author of the program "Michael Christoph" (http://meicky-soft.de).
@all
I hope you don't have too much problems with the new version . It was tested intensively, but AmiCygnix is a complex thing. |

| installed and working fine here, thanks Edgar
it's great to drag screens when I'm working with GNumeric & need something off my WB. Though i did notice that with this new update dragging screens within AmiCygnix is quit a bit less smooth? |

| The AmiCygnix-based programs are some of the best available for Amiga NG. I'm looking forward to installing it as soon as I get a chance. |
