software OS4   software OS4 : 7boings - play mixed tetris and sudoku
posted by mrdarek on 25-Nov-2012 9:49:52 (3609 reads)
What AmigaOS games are the best? I thought about it and figured that must be games with boing balls, so I have created a new small puzzle game called 7boings designed for us to spend time with our amiga computers.

In this game you need to drop numbered balls to create continuous lines and if the number on ball math line match then balls are removed from playfield. Detailed rules are described in game manual.

Here is a screenshot:

Download game from OS4Depot

Any comments and/or donations for this project are welcome - it can help me decide to continue work and add some features to it or drop it and try develop other software. Thanks to Chris Handley, for his hard work on improving PortablE language to be able handle my code. Also, thanks Tommy Sammy - icon creator.

Enjoy playing!

Hi Mrdarek,

I was curious too about the use of the Boing Ball, so much so I have been working on an Amiga Platform Game that uses the Boing Ball.

Reference pic
here :)

This is on permanent hold while I work hard on another game.

Keep up the good work :)

My graphics is free from web. Concept is very nice. txt section looking good, balls are little too shiny. Creating code to able display this can take some time, and I not have so many time... Maybe in future... I need more built-in or my own procedures in PortablE to fast creating game effects.

But OK - if you send me all this gfx in game resolution proper size, frame and "white"texts, I can relatively fast retheme game as on your concept - only numbers blue values will be still normal single colour font, but I align it to right like on your concept screen... So if you want-please prepare gfx on transparent background, and I fix rest. But not too shiny balls and boings and remember about cracked boing...

Hey Tommysammy,

Firstly thank you for helping out creating artwork for mrdarek. :)

All graphics are now ready :) I have updated slightly altered the graphics, made them slightly less shiny :)

If there are games similar, that don't consume too much time in developing, I'd be very happy to volunteer my time on project like this for the Amiga community.
