Software News   Software News : Santa's Monster Shootout - Merry Christmas from AmiBoing.de (EntwicklerX)
posted by imagodespira on 21-Dec-2012 19:12:00 (4181 reads)
We wish the Amiga community a Merry Christmas!

The game is free, for an entry into the online leader board, a amiboing.de account required.

There is a configuration tool, where you can set full screen, screen resolution and vSync to obtain the best possible gaming experience.
Our Sam440 with Radeon 9250 - 800x600 at 30FPS, Sam460 with HD5450 - 1920x1080 around 30FPS, faster graphics cards also provide 60fps at any resolution.
Activation of vSync is recommended to get smooth scrolling (vSync off, just to test the speed of the graphics card).

Thanks to all who supported us by purchasing our games, that ensures continuous development.

For 2013 many publications for AmigaOS4.x are planned, which are currently in development. Step by Step we are rising the quality and size of our projects to get the best of your NG Amiga.

Have fun while playing !

Thank you for this funny game!

(I get 82...86 FPS on SAM440ep-mini in windowed mode on 32bit screen.)

86 FPS is great ;)

Use the vSync on Option to get smoother Scrolling.. If activated the game Limits to the frequency of the Monitor (most 60 Hz).

If Monitor Setting is 60 HZ -> game runs in 60fps -> Scrolling smooth -> less CPU Usage.

Thanks for playing this game, like to see how much kills every one has until the end of the year ;)

http://www.amiboing.de/showHighscores.php?gameId=15

Currently o.eschi has 3361 kills ( Level 44 ) and hit the first place. Pierre55 has 0 kills ... maybe the game is to stupid for him, not every one likes a santa with a gun, but should be just a little fun before Christmas ;)

Yeah, i guess he kills around 50-60 monsters and then die on that level and then restart it again? He can never kill 100-200 monsters each level. The game is really fun but its to easy. I can rech level 100 without any problem. The highscore shouldnt only be based upon kills. Its should be kills, time left and what level you completed.

Thank you very much, good and addictive game!
Now I know why sometimes poor Santa is little bit late....

ps: I reached level 21 and I was just bought machine gun (7500$) and the the game crached, maybe Santa just can't take any more
