The first volume is fantastic, but for Amiga fans it's just an appetiser for the main course...

| Ya real shame first book was a great read. On a side note how is the film viva Amiga coming on not heard much lately.

| The same author did do an earlier, now out-of-print book called "On the Edge: the Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore." It does tell the whole Commodore story, including the latter years with the Amiga.
Looks like used copies are available on Amazon. I recommend it.
The book "Commodore: A Company on the Edge" is a revised, more detailed version of the Commodore history until Tramiel's departure.

| His word was "cancelled", so presumably the deal with the publisher is off and the retail distribution deals cancelled.
As he said he may pick it up again someday, but I wouldn't hold our collective breaths now and we should all claim our refunds from Amazon etc. |

I'd really try self-publishing for books like this, there're a lot of companies that offer those services, like Amazon... unless he's sick of writing to begin with, of course.

| Was looking forward to this too. Had both of his previous books on Commodore. Well worth a read even if you weren't particularly a fan of Commodore, besides obviously the Amiga. |

I'd like to know too. A lot of money was put into it, with nothing much (publically) to show for it so far (AFAIK).

| Latest update on the blog page for the film Viva Amiga is from July, which is not really all that long ago. That was about interview for the film with NewTek's Tim Jenison. I have no affiliation with the film or filmmaker.... just looking forward to seeing it.

| like many of you I was looking forward to this too. I wonder how much of the book is written, because in this day and age a publisher is not that important with the rise of ebook and print on demand web site you can self publish at very little cost, just seems a shame not to release what has been done.
I do enjoy Trevor classic reflections series in Amiga Future and I kind of wish he turn that into a book as I missed a few articles and I'm sure a few articles could of just kept going.

| That's really too bad. The first book was an awesome read. One that focussed specifically on the Amiga would have definitely made it into my personal library.

Yep
Since they promised the release for end of 2013 (at least that's the last deadline adjustment I know about) I dared to ask for a status update on their facebook page. This was one week ago, no reaction at all...
To me this smells like yet another neverending story that ultimately will turn into vaporware (only with the small difference that other people's money is vapored... last not least my own )
