Not sure what you mean ....

Fan only gets noisy when the G5 is stressed for some while around here.

So either your HW is the problem (all fans o.k. and free from dust) or it's a specific issue that you need to report.

Already reported the problem. Morphos puts the cpu to the max although do not use. Is not hw probleme because with macOS this does not occur. Only happens with powerpc g5 models :/
Thanks for your attention, greetings.

@amigatronics:
If MorphOS indeed uses up all the CPU, the Task Manager should show which task hogs the CPU. In any case, it's *NOT* a generic issue, since no one in the developer or betatester team who owns a PowerMac G5 can reproduce it, and must be specific to your system.

The task manager does not show any application that fills the cpu but the fans run at maximum with much noise. The cpu reaches more than 86 degrees doing nothing but with MacOS
the fans do not make noise and the cpu is 60 degrees.
Exist any application to control the fans? Thx again.

@amigatronics:
No, there's none. That functionality (fan control) is built into the system. If it fails on your system there's a reason, but that's clearly unique to your machine since others doesn't have this problem.

If ChainQ says its your machine, you can probably rest assured it is. One thing about Morphos team they are very good with making sure things work before release (except in the case of the 3.5 upgrade lol) It must be something hw wise with your G5, maybe the heatsink on cpu is loose or something causing the fans to go full blast?

I thought that cpu stepping is currently not supported on G5 macs.

I used the asd disc and everything is correct, i told all works fine with MacOS, no noise,
fans spin slowly and the cpu is 25 degrees less. I have a friend with the same machine and the same problem and her mac is dead now. Thx to all.

@Barana

I wasn't the one who approved this news item. I guess it slipped by everyone until you read it. Surely it must be a type-o. Maybe they will request an edit.

Lol.That goes to show you kiddies, dont post late at night.I was thinking of constipation.

So to re-sumarise either it was an innocent typo, or... The author was apologising for giving morphos and prospective morphos users the shits.

Either way, I havent finished saving for the x500+ yet or even started saving for the 1.67mhz PowerBook and morphos yet so I can have an Amiga onthego. I was just an amused observer :).

Except for the url tags at the bottom, there was no typing involved before the news was submitted. The entire announcement text was copied straight from the MorphOS website and then pasted via keyboard shortcut to various community websites.

How the text ended up being different on Amigaworld is a mystery to me.

A mystery to me also. I can plainly see what it says on the MorphOS site.

The word is misspelled though. It should be inconveniences.
I'll edit the news item and correct the spelling to read as:
