Asking money for firmware update is unusual, but improvements seem to be geat, so probably worth the money.

But is the source available for customers? I don't have a problem with paying for this, as long as the source is provided. After all UBoot is GPL.

I have heard that the speed of the internal SD slot is greatly improved in this version of U-Boot. If you could use a SD card instead of a hard drive you could remove your SATA controller and use full size graphics cards. To use a SD card as a hard drive a minimum size would be 64 GB. Only SDHX cards are that big. Does anyone know if the internal slot on a SAM 460 supports SDHX cards?

I've waited a long time for a uboot update. My A1-500 has a big problem detecting many SATA hard drives and DVD drives. Hopefully this situation has been improved, although there is no mention of it. I'd gladly pay for the update.

How are you connectimg drives to Sam460?. I have 4 drives connected via Sii3114 card. It seems order of drives is important for sii based cards.

What's the limit for SDXC cards? 64 GB or even greater?

The size can range from 32GB to 2TB using the exFAT file system. I don't know if a different file system can be used.

So when do we get a similar update for the X1000?
I want faster boot times. It's painfully slow :( Both the CFE initialization wait and the kickstart loading. Total boot takes over a minute, like the A1200 with all patches. Very frustrating when it locks up 20 times a day during some debugging sessions.

So this will not work on an AmigaOne 1000? I'll get it anyway, since I have an AmigaOne 500 also, but I want to use it on the AmigaOne 1000 also if possible. If not possible, that's OK, but I'd rather be told "no" than find out the hard way.

Logitech K360: working in both Uboot and AmigaOS 4.1.8
ACE CUB101: working in both Uboot and AmigaOS 4.1.8
Logitech UltraX Keyboard, Model Name Y-BL49, P/N 867510-0106: DOES NOT work in Uboot, but is working in AmigaOS 4.1.8.

Writing this with the UltraX keyboard connected to a Sam460ex running AmigaOS 4.1.8 (FE Update 1).

The K360 and CUB101 are both missing the right Windows key which is (ironically) a big no no for an Amiga.
