The new AmiCloud client is now available for MorphOS, AROS, AmigaOS 3/4, Windows, Linux (PPC/i386) and OSX (i386/ppc)

A big thank you to tommysammy for proving images and icons for OS4 version.

Website: http://www.amicloud.de/

Changelog:
::: CHANGELOG (Beta 03b) :::
[ AmiCloud Client ]
- Added AmiCloud banner

[ AmiCloud manager ]
- Enhanced the way the debug output is delivered and activated, now you can configure
the debug output editing the files:
- appdata/debug_acm.txt
- appdata/debug_amicloud.txt
These files are plain text files with lot of comments and descriptions to explain
each available options.
- Taken into account the server answer time to compesate timing errors and avoiding
unecessary synchronizations. These problems was noticed on very slow Internet
connections and/or when Internet bandwidth was used by other applications.
- Ignored (from synchornization) files starting with a dot (.) to avoid unwanted
synchronization of hidden/system files. This was mainly needed for Linux and MacOSX
host systems.
- Basic storage is now 2GB for beta testers

With AmiCloud you get 2GB web storage which can be used to share files with friends, embed files in websites or pictures like the one above in Forums.
Also you can easily sync files on your computers (smartphones will follow).

Prices:
AROS i386 (10€)
AmigaOS3 (with RTG) (10€)
AmigaOS4 (10€)
Windows (10€)
Linux i386 (5€)
Linux PPC (5€)
OSX PPC (5€)
OSX Intel (5€)
MorphOS (10€)

Because of the fact that we released some versions with a delay, those will be sold the next 14days for 5€. After this period we will raise the price to 10€ for all versions.
The beta period will go until february.. every beta user will later get twice the storage of what the basic account will offer.
So if i is 2GB, you will get 4GB and so on.

If you are interested in the AROS version you could keep an eye on the AROS Broadway USB-Stick which contains also AmiCloud :

so cool, so i if i get this buy os4 version means that i can use it on all of my os4 machine including winuae, if i get windows version you buy i once here also. so for me syncing between amiga-amiga, amiga-pc i would need one amiga and one pc license. correct?

Hi,
Yep, one os4 license means you can install it on a unlimited number of computers running os4 including emulation.
And yes, for syncing between other operating systems you will need to buy amicloud once for each plattform.

It is short before cristmas so I plan to offer bundles of 3 platforms for 15€.
Bundle 1 could be os4,Windows,OS X
Bundle 2 could be os4,aros,morphos
Bundle 3 could be Windows, Linux, OS X
And So on ....

Each bundle =15€

Let me know if any combination is interesting and I will add them to www.ares-shop.de
If you order a bundle I will send you vouchercodes for the indieGO!-AppStore.

The indieGO!-user name and password wil be used also in amicloud.

: )
What about aros, amigaos3,os4,OS X(PPC/Intel), Linux PPC/Intel/arm, morphos for 30€
As a hint:
You would get 1 voucher code for each version.... You could give away some to a friend.

Unfortunately the RTG requirement rules it out on my real Amigas, which is where it would be most useful to me.

Any chance of a non-Hollywood client in the future?

Hi,
i've added your bundle proposals.

@Clebin
Our API is documented and so if a developer likes to, he could do a alternative client or include it in his software. If there is enough interest and a developer is willing we could do it that way for 68k amigas.

There are rumors that Hollywood will soon support Hollywood command line tools on non RTG Amigas. And some rumors say that this in combination with MUI-Royale will work as well.. than we would do one.

@phoenixkonsole

Thanks for your answer - there's hope then! Is the API documentation freely available?

Chris

Only on request for now..
When we have a "proper" website ready we will make it available.
The beta phase should end in february/march.. this will be the time where the page should be ready as well (which reminds me... uploading from browser for example could help you on a 68k)

Found a little bug that lead the program to crash, if i press the share button at the right (bottom) side.

Hi,

if you replaced a old version with the update please ensure that your are logged in.
Also please first log In manually with the key symbol and than after this go to prefs and click on "auto-login"..

It could help to remove the "prefs" file in /amicloud/appdata/

The best way to upgrade to a new build is to remove the whole amicloud application folder content and copy the new content in it. Or just extract the archive to a new drawer.

My shared folder is not inside the Amicloud application folder.. so i don't remove anything from the shared folder..

I could not yet reproduce the failure.
If the things above don't work, we will need a log-file to find the reason.

Hello,
I'm aware of this bug, it happens when the user hit the share button before logging in.
In the next release it will be fixed :)

Anyway thank you for the report!

Important question: Once installed AmiCloud, could it be accessed as any Amiga device like CLOUD0:???
