That is the biggest crock of sh!t I've seen in a long time. Just admit it, SCO, your version of Linux doesn't sell as well as Mandrake, Red Hat, Debain and all the others and since you own 'key unix copyrights', you're pitching a fit and trying to 'skim off the top'.

I hate to break it to you, SCO, but since GPL is General Public, the 'constitiution' nor 'congress' has any legal, jurisdiction over it. If they don't believe me, look at IBM and Microsoft from so long ago. IBM lost that one. SCO is going to lose this one.

This is the EXACT type of bullsh!t that makes me LOATHE being an American. How come nobody pitches a fit about the clause in the constitution about 'separation of church and state', but ALL Presidential candidates blatantly display their CHRISTIAN ethics in their campaigns??!??

All this is is a bunch of moneygrubbers trying to make a quick buck. Hey, speaking of, why doesn't SCO just port their linux to the Pegasos?? Seems to me that both companies are in the same league....

Ridiculous...

It seems to me that this company is now *intentionally* trying to become less popular. Doesn't make sense to me.

It's a FUD campaign to scare people away from Linux and GPL software in general.

They are doing it kamakaze style.

If you ask me, Microsoft is secretly funding them...

SCO says the Linux Kernel should be released into the Public Domain. They've already pre-empted this assumption and are selling a "Linux license" so you can use Linux "legally".

Thing is, if the GPL is declared void, then copyright will have to default back to the original authors - the software will become "unlicensed". Doesn't copyright "default" to giving full rights to the author and nobody else? In other words, if you don't put a license on some piece of work, that does not give anyone unlimited use?

It would surely be a disaster if the GPL was declared void, but it would be unbearable if all GPL'd software was committed to the Public Domain (at least it would only be in the US, although I wonder how international copyright laws work in that regard).

Whoever they are.. SCO, the faceless shareholders investing in SCO.. they're evil scum.

Memo to SCO:

Put it back in your pants. We've seen it, it's pitiful and we're not amused by it (or you) anymore.

You need another one to play when the computer is actually ready to use.
Maybe add more for malfunctions and then we'll have music all day.
