@fairlanefastback

I would buy AmigaInc stock, but even a controlling interest would not balance the uncontrolled interest. :)

DiscreetFx should buy Hyperion's "assets" and tell Amiga Inc. "sorry about the contract, but we only bought their assets, not their liabilities."

Prosecutors to investigate Prokom's transactions

The prosecutor's office has got the go-ahead to examine Prokom transactions, Ryszard Krauze's IT giant, in the investigation of the 4Media bourse affair, announced the court on Monday. This means investigators can now analyse the transactions and banks must disclose detailed information on company operations.

Prokom was surprised at the court's decision. "The proceedings may be connected with normal analyses of transactions, but can not be directed against Prokom," said a company spokesman. He added, someone mixed up different threads and drew false implications. The move comes despite the fact that the company received victim status from the prosecution on January 15. This means that Prokom has many rights, including participation in hearings.

It will be interesting to see what develops from this. Hopefully opi can help keep the board informed, especially if any other stories only come out in Polish.

looks like Hakia better get their act together and make some $$. The search engine market is having "issues".

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Online search site Ask.com is not getting rid of its specialized search technology, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday, saying a blog report to that effect was incorrect.

@fairlanefastback

Although Amiga's partner is in the news almost every day, I thought this story today was quite telling.

Reuters

I think this all ties in with the prior news reports about investigation quite logically.

No guarantee that the stock would be mentioned here, but at least it is current. (July 5, 2008)

Interesting to note that in the Consolidated Quarterly Report for the 2nd quarter of 2007, there are no hits for either "Amiga" or "Itec".
Surely this is merely coincidental with the legal activity beginning during the exact same time period.

Someone did this already back in the 90's with Amiga in the Bahamas and they had him arrested for asking a question at the stock holder's meeting.

Ok so Amiga, Inc. is a privately held firm.

But Prokom which owns a small part of Amiga appears to be public and trade on the London Stock Exchange and Warsaw Stock Exchange.

I was curious if anyone has ever considered buying shares in Prokom either for the heck of it or even to at least be able to legitimately ask some questions about the background of the purchase to Prokom Investor Relations. I'm assuming Prokom wanted in on Hakia and buying a piece of Amiga may have been a necessary part of the deal?

So I'm curious if anyone has done this already.

Oh well...if you review this thread and the others concerning our famous funder of Amiga Inc. and Hakia it should come as no surprise.

From the archives:
http://web.archive.org/web/20080117232443/http://www.hakia.com/company.html

vs current:

http://company.hakia.com/team.html

Rather a lot of uncerimoniously made changes I would say.

If memory serves he was reported as the person that would pick up mail occasionally at their mail drop office in NYC years back. The office that someone from Amiga.org took pictures of back then.

Yes, no doubt about that. But whether this is sheer incompetence, poor diligence in doing background checks on where the money is coming from, or something else...will forever be unknown to the likes of you and I.

As long as we're citing examples, I'll repeat concerning Hakia, where John is also currently listed as CFO:

Quote:
Some private investors include Dr. Pentti Kouri, who is also a co-founder, a New York-based economist and venture capitalist; Lu Pat Ng, representing his family from Malaysia who has substantial investments worldwide.

Let's not forget that Pentti's name is not the only one on the Itec documents.
The smudged name of Lu Pat NG is there as well.
Don't get me wrong. There -are- "angel" investors, and Lu Pat NG seems to be a victim here. "Angel" investors are called such because they give money and ask few/no questions. If I were to speculate, I'd say Lu Pat NG wanted to know what happened to his money and Pentti acted on his behalf. This case (Itec), as you know, was later dismissed.

Added: bit more about Lu Pat NG from prior to seeing the name on the Itec docs, so you can see the tie in:

Quote:
*** May 10, 2004: The Singaporean company Tapul S.A. buys KMOS share for $1,000,000. The agreement is centered on OS4

I'm sure you see the connection Singapore/Malaysia?

But this is the sad part:

Quote:
""[Tapul S.A.] is an accredited investor who has conducted all necessary due diligence regarding, amongst others, the business potential of OS4 ..."

Too bad the "due diligence" didn't include an honest report as to who "owned" it or whether anyone could offer such proof prior to taking his money...

John Grzymala manages Amiga Inc's economy.
It was to him I sent AA2 documents on cooperation and rights, etc.

And he is:

CFO

2007 — Present (2 years)
CFO, director and officer of a new energy R&D project expolring the ther extraction of hydrogen from water using nano technolgy

CFO
Candledragon, Inc.
(Wireless industry)
2004 — Present (5 years)
Chief Financial Officer, Board of Directors and Secretary responsible for financial and investor relations involving an emerging technology for digital pen and Bluetooth wireless applications.

CFO
Hakia, Inc.
(Privately Held; Internet industry)
2004 — Present (5 years)
CFO, board of directors, investor relations of a semantic search engine

CFO
Amiga Inc
(Privately Held; Computer Software industry)
2004 — Present (5 years)
CFO of new OS platform company that allows one application (games etc) to run on many devices. Also a developer of many applications to run on these devices.

CFO
Bandwidth Technology Corp.
(Telecommunications industry)
1999 — Present (10 years)
CFO of a telecom company that has patented novel software to significantlyincrease the bandwidth fot the "last mile."

CFO

CFO/controller/Board of Director/Investor Relations specializing in new technology investments including new energy alternatives (Waterlight, Inc), semantic search engine (Hakia, Inc), software development (Amiga Inc), digital pen (Candledragon, Inc.) and bandwidth expansion (Bandwidth Technology Corp)

That appears to be the parent of all of them which could mean that the Amiga Inc is part of a larger clusters.

A cluster frag.

Hakia ... what a crap website. My bet is that none of those companies ever produce anything of merit. They are probably all Amiga Inc-like firms used to draw investment, spend little and produce nothing of merit.
