The current Amiga Inc. team has now been in charge longer than it took to create and release the original Amiga & the AGA chipset upgrades. Talk is cheap, results are better and might make the community a little less cynical.

@Darth_X

I think OS5 is just going to be another Linux Gui which is not going to have anything to do with OS4 or AmigaAnywhere. I personally do not like any of these forms.

@those in agreement over Bill's inability to perform but disagreeing as to why

ok. Then if both sides of this argument agree on the "inability", and Pentti certainly understands the same problem, why did Pentti and/or John NOT put someone else in charge?
Think about it.
If an individual (in this case Pentti) does not seek to make change for the better, you have to ask if the individual even wanted things to BE better.

Wow... so much speculation for such an incidental comment. At least a spec sheet puts a stake in the ground.

Speaking of which... isn't AA2 supposed to be made available about now? They did say 30 days in the responses to the questions.

are you sure? It's the first time I hear about this numbers. And to be honest, I don't believe the numbers are true. Seriously, I do not see any logic behind A inc's acting. I'm reading the Forums since 2000, but I really do not get the point, the strategy, the business development. Nothing.

I think it's called "Baffle them with BS."

@opi
Dude. That was harsh about his kid and business life. I don't care who it is, I would never say that about a man for losing a child. If I were to lose any of my daughters I know I would not handle it half as well publicly if I was McEwen and had to deal with our opinons about AI.

While I don't hold McEwen soly to blame for what has happened, there is plenty of blame to go around. But till I see some cold hard evidence (hardware in the wild, or actual user testimonial with pictures) I'm pretty much chalking what he says up to vaporware approved by the board of AI.

And Bill, if you do read this, you have an open invite to come on ART and tell me I'm wrong and prove it. And if that is the case, I will apologise.

@Naz & linnar

Lets look. We have lots of links here:

http://www.topix.com/forum/city/kent-wa/T6TE3BB2QIOPAK8OT

and here:

I don't remember anything like this. There were other wild claims like "third most recognized brand in Europe" that Bill later admited was probably from some magazine article he may have read years earlier, or something along those lines.

Opi said there comes a time to get over personal issues to tend to business as I read it. He did not name Bill's daughter as the issue. He could have been talking about Bill's son and the hockey incident for missing Amiwest or even something more benign like Bill seeming to try to diminish Bolton Peck's situation by telling his sad story about some $597,000 (or similar) he says Amiga Washington still owes him personally or just the net result of all these things. Hondo is the one talking about the death of a child specifically.

Part of the problem with not being considered very credible is that it calls just about anything you say into question. I remember with the thing with the son people were publically wondering if that story was true or not.
