I've tested it a few nights (limited time) and I must say that the 150MB that you get is really good, high quality and makes great programs. I can see in the code that you have prepared AA2 for at least 6 different operating systems if I remember correctly.

whit no doubt was AA nice WM, and AA2 was maybe nice cross platform development package,
but as long as it did not support AmigaOS3 and/or AmigaOS4 it did not even make sense that this was a Amiga product.
i have seen the youtube video showing AA2, but did not make any impression on me, there where some kind color cycling effects shown.
Hollywood was covering what AA2 was trying to achieve on AmigaOS4, AROS, MorphOS cross platform application development.

The general public was more interested in up to date flash and java support.
Amiga Inc failed to produce products that the Amiga community/customers wonted or needed.

There's definitely a place and a desire for Amiga-like APIs. Massively parallel systems are being built on message passing designs, for which Exec's legacy is perfectly suited. We really need a parallel scheduler to make headway on modern systems, though.

The taste is different. I have a preference for simple solutions and there are AA2 points. One can see in the code that it should (could) be used to OS4.

Can become so if they disconnect from their domain name hosting. It does so when the domain is transferred to another hosting company. It may take several days or a couple of weeks. It may also be that the domain name is for sale but it is better to have it connected to a hosting so the buyer can see that it works.

This makes no sense whatsoever. In my eyes it was betting on quick departure of AI. Because of that there was court case. A case that Hyperion didn't won. AI's sugar daddy died and there was no extra cash for lawyers. So they settled out of the court.

Yepp, I agree.

And something else, people here states over and over again that AmigaInc didn't care about OS4, well.. Wy fight for it then, it makes no sense at all.

At the end of the day, it's good that future of AmigaOS is secured. I just can't help myself from cringing on some parts of that story.

Yepp, and there are more to this story than people are aware of.

Why ? Because they screwed everything up: AmigaDE/Anywhere,... stuff, so they were left with nothing... nothing at all... nothing but OS4 if they could get ownership of it.

It's that simple.

Is not it time to turn off the typical Amiga World chewing force now? It reminds people that go around in the 60's look. It does not fit anymore, it is outside, it's not cool anymore.
Cool is to stand up for their cause honestly, sincerely and in a nice way. Do also called for civil courage.

I haven't read the whole thread, but could it be that A-EON have taken over Ainc?

Maybe it will relaunch with news on the X1000

Amiga Inc FAILED to deliver or gain interest in both AmigaDE and AA2. I read their contract for both AmigaDE and AA2 and if they were to make any serious money you and I both know they would need thousands of games and applications for sale. We also both know that didn't happen.

There is nothing more than an opinion formulated in a way sakastiskt.

You may have much opinions about this.
Monetizing AA2 is no problem.
If there is / was the thought and the program is so popular is
there will be no problem making money. But it is
not about one million U.S. dollars. Rather felt in the budget. It is
often a blue dream that millions of rolls in just compiling
a valid application.

You must feel special with insider contacts to Amiga Inc? EDIT: I presume it's someone within Amiga Inc that has told you about their site problems?

Funny how they are able to provide users with information about their website when they don't respond to business inquiries from other companies (not even within the 30 days they write on the site).

Let me help you with your english here.
What you said above translates out to "I think I just got told that Amiga.com (will) soon be up again"
If you WERE told that the site was coming back, you should just say..
"I just got told that Amiga.com will soon be up again"

Seriously...I'm just trying to help you linnar, given how people take your posts here.
