@Spectre660

Thanks for link!

I must say I found the AmiStore news intresting, even tho the mention was very brief.
The AmiStore logo was very clean and nice looking.

Out of curiosity (tho I expect the answers to be vauge since its probarly work in progress);

Will it be direct download or a mix of hardcopy product and download?

Will the install standard of the software be "installer for dummies"?
Take the PC world; install something and it USUALLY works from first go.
No hunting for correct library and files in correct folder.
This is something I remember from the old days to a certain extent and I every now and then read
on forums where people are recommended to have x version of this and that in this folder.
Not sure if people feel the same way about this, but all inclusive binaries that contains what is needed
to run xyz program, not assuming that everyone have a complete up to date OS.

why not trevor fund aros and morphos as well? hyperion have control of os4, so if he funds os4 development he will never have the rights or money per os4 sale.

The answer is simple. AOS4 is running on the hardware which is produced by A-EON. Better softwaresupport for A-EON's hardware --> chance for more saled boards ---> more money for development ....

You can ask Trevor to include other platforms.

@pavlor

I can but he wrote it is a "AmigaOS" application. If not written in something cross-platform like Hollywood or with portability in mind it becomes complicated. If it is a "AmigaOS" application it propably uses Reaction and that would already make a port almost impossible.

Anyway, it is his decision what he does with his money...

@Trevor

Great blog with good humor and a lovely dedicated focus on the round and beautiful things in ST (Seven of Nine rules)

Could we perhaps incorporate Borg technology in the next AOS or in the hardware...thanks

Looking forward to see a review of the new Ami Store, and also hope the developers find it handy and useful.

Now I'm regretting I didn't try to become a beta tester. How cool is it having your name printed on a computer mother board. Such opportunity is rare.

@NutsAboutAmiga

The problem with this that there will be two stores, one cross-platform from Pascal and one "AmigaOS" only from Trevor. I do not see much chances from a "AmigaOS" only store for the platform, only common we are strong. Actions like this are only deepening the divide. It would have been better if people would have talked to each other and do something together. And do not say "competition is good". In a small market (in best case) this "AmigaOS-Shop" will not do too much harm, in worst case it would make both unprofitable. I can only hope the best.

@aclogic

Yes Trevor looks at it through his "X1000/AmigaOS" glasses. If it helps the platform as a whole is not interesting to him.
