@Anyone

Would someone kindly list the full specs of the Mac Mini - Mona Files requires?
Which OS 4 Kit does it require?
Will Mona Files work with a G5 Mac Desktop or G4 Mac Desktop?
Will Mona Files work with a G5 Mac Laptop or G4 Mac Laptop?

Spill the beans please?

They certainly *should* have known in June 2005 that they released OS4 in December 2004.

We both know that their case isn't based entirely on this single alleged fact (it's a multi-pronged attack in the hope that some work), but I'm not going to get into an argument with you on the issue - they have already been covered a thousand times by other people (with far more time to waste than me).

Suffice to say, your attempts at arguing about Hyperion seem determined to twist the facts by casting everything in black & white (which reality is not, even if lawyers try to create laws that are, and programmers work in an artificial world that is).

Maybe you aren't out to get "just" Hyperion, but your behaviour does suggest that you are out for "revenge" of some sort - even if you don't care who you attack. Either that, or really do see everything as black & white (which seems to mean most shades of grey become black/bad).

Yes, but they didn't KNOW *all* the facts (see court case crap) until rather after the fact.

Excuse me? They certainly *should* have known in June 2005 that they released OS4 in December 2004. After all, there was a joint press release about it half a year earlier, which they think should have been enough for *Amiga* to realise this was The Release.

They also certainly should have known in June 2005 that they had a contract with a 6 months deadline after The Release, and that said deadline had expired.

Here we go in a circle again.
So in June of 2002 when OS4 was late, why didn't Amiga/Amino complain?

Take your pick of answers:

a) The contract mentions "best efforts" not firm dates
b) they never cared about the classic Amiga line
c) they were too insolvent to care or do anything about it anyway
d) all the above

So before loosing the topic at all I'll ask my question again:

Did anyone get it working on Mac Mini besides the thread opener on EAB?

Best Regards

Don't put too much fate in it

This MacAmiga guy hasn't posted a youtube vid yet or given me his MacMini specs yet...this smells thhe same, he hasn't convinced me more than he did at EAB where he was banned

@Amigaz

Agreed. I believe we've confirmed it does indeed contain at least _parts_ of Moana...whether or not it's complete enough to be able to boot is highly questionable.

It's possible MacAmiga has _very_ poor English, but even so, there is little proof this is complete enough to do much of anything. Time to put up or shut up, basically.

Not to mention, it's questionable in the first place, as technically this thread could fall under the 'pirated software' TOS violation, no matter how much many of us would like to run OS4 on a mac.

It seems like he just avoids the question when we asked him about some hints on how we should use this ISO and give us some proof that it works

I think he was banned because he just stirred up emotions, maybe he just want attention

I think untill its been tested on the correct Firmware we`ll just have to leave a question mark over this Thread .
But now for the dumb question not ever realy used a Mac how do you check the FirmWare version does it a appear on Boot?

@wegster

Well, since AmigaMacs files have not yen been really tested and proven its not yet piracy either, hoax at the best or questionable software. However, since its a software patch to make S/W work on other H/W its a hack, but not a classic piracy (since it requires original S/W and original H/W).
Also, since of dispute, there is no one to say its piracy, beyond us, and we say its a progress
\Btw, in the same way MorphOS or AROS could be considered piracy, so as things go more for software, this can be more like a patch if it would be official.

Anyway, MacMini is one of the best PPC choices still availiable, and I will go for it, Moana or no Moana.

What doubts me more is that since Moana is confirmed to exist (even by Italians saying MacMinis files are not Moana) I doubt why such a progressive move is stopped. Is it so hard to negotiate Apple to give licence for "obsolete" hardware? How long will we wait for Amiga Inc/Acube PROMISED PPC hardware? If they are not gonna realise it, even without OS4 (as in past) then go for MacMini would be right thing to do. Now with AOS4 I do not question the s/w - I just want h/w to run it.

MacMini was quite causing attention, but offering very little help. Having in mind this was "christhmas gift" maybe some PDF Tuturial will be a "new years gift"

And you should be glad to have a new Amiga user, altough he never prested himself in more then Amiga+Mac association.
