@All

Hello.

AOS4 CD arrived this morning. Pity I am busy for the next few days.

Aw well, guess I can wait a bit longer...

Thanks to all involved!

I just feel I did everything right for my situation and am getting shafted.

(Sorry, quote buttons or smileys don't work in IBrowse!)

. . .

@tafka,
Yeah, a bugger that! I seem to remember similar problems with AWeb-II.
Just do that by the keyboard; with square brackets and the word "quote" in lower-case.

When you see the textual format (Code) of a smilie, just type just that. Colon word, or colon word colon.

OK, I'm here, this is my first post from OS4, hmm this demo version of Ibrowse is lacking a bit, only 30 mins of runtime and I can't open the other window to show all the smilies, methinks a visit to iospirit to register is in order

One thing to watch out for when installing is to make sure you tick the "Bootable" option when partitioning your hard drive, I missed that 1st time around and wondered what went wrong when it complained at not being able to find anythiong to boot from , I can't blame that on the OS, just me being in too much of a rush to get it installed

So far so good, VERY responsive, I'm off to play !!!

Yup . The Eagle has Landed here as well.

Only i'm waaaaaay too knackered to start buggering about with my A1.

What was all that Floppy disk stuff SlimJim was on about ? I've got a brand new floppy drive in my A1 but i've never used it. Everyone kept saying They had problems with their floppy in debian .. so I never bothered to find out if mines working or not. ( At least the lights not permanently on ...so it must be wired the right way round).

Do we REALLY need to use a floppy to do a full install (including updating Uboot) Os4 ?

Also .. I have a 160gb hd. I've known for quite a while that Uboot doesn't support this YET. However, can someone tell me if I can just Partition 5gb as system, maybe 5 gb as swap (ambitious)100gb Programs and leave the 50gb free (for now) for whatever ?
