@Rogue

I think misinterpretation is inevitable due to the fact that everything is so cloak and dagger.

Everyone is left to guess what is going on because the people in the know cant/wont give answers.

ok i am confused now. the reasons given in the past for not porting to X system was always you must have a license from ainc. and pay hyperion for porting. now we are being told that ainc cannot license os4 for use on X hardware you must contact hyperion. which is right?

as far as i understood ainc must be contacted and an agreement hammered out then hyperion is contacted afterwards for porting. is this wrong?

But nevermind, I'll shut up. It seems that whatever I say is misinterpreted anyway, so I am going to refrain from posting.

So in other words AmigaOS4.0 belongs to Hyperion and Amiga Inc.

So what is the best way asking for meeting where all parties are involved can join.

Anyway I think is bit backwards that Hyperion and Amiga Inc wait for some to come knocking on there doors, should not Hyperion and Amiga Inc be looking for partners asking around talk to hardware vendors. Your company might be doing that but it looks too me that there are no activity like that going on.

Well it might be that you do not have the resources to do more then one hardware project at one time, or maybe there is some other obstacles form doing that that way.

Maybe the company’s that own AmigaOS4 should make more clear how licensing works.

Step 1. Do this
Step 2. Do that
Step 3. And finally sign this

Well, from what's known about OS4 development, a great part of it was done by contractors such as yourself. I simply assumed that the othe contractors got the same deal you did (ie Hyperion gets to sell it, but the author maintains ownership of the code). If that's the case then bbrv will need to get approval from all the other contractors, because Hyperion won't own the code.
