@thread

Don't get me wrong. Aside from him putting it in oversimplified terms, I wouldn't say 'no' to the system @ppcamiga1 envisages. It'd be a major coup if something like what I described overleaf were to be accomplished in the next 3-5 years.

The Haiku OS team has been at it since 2003 and their non-insignificant efforts still don't meet the @ppcamiga1 benchmark.

Alas, our own journey through the seemingly never-ending litigation wasteland can only produce fragments. None of which can be brought together to form a whole.

@agami

after switch to x86 or arm amiga os or any it clone
should be no more than 15 years behind win/lnx/osx

everything in amiga os below graphics and gui it is too outdated
and should be cut off
and replaced by unix or rewriten from scratch

it should be done by trolls like szulc, carlos, olaf szonwejs, agami, hammer, abbot etc
they may take micro mical as their mascot also

stop trolling start working on aros

Even GUI and Graphics of the Amiga OS are too outdated. There is nothing material about Amiga OS that has applicability in 2025 and beyond. So there's no point working on AROS as it won't meet your criteria.

Writing from scratch will take too long, so there's really only the option of taking an existing open source UNIX system, e.g. Darwin, port over Wayland and Budgie, and modify to make a custom Amiga-like experience.

Now, if you give me $3M USD, I'll get right on that. Which I think is a bargain, as I'm sure System 76 spent more than that on their Cosmos DE.

Friend pepikamiga1,
I want to give the benefit of the doubt, and think you're not trolling but rather mentally challenged.

So, honest questions for this unsoundable mind of yours:

1 - What is your role in this? Just telling others what to do?
2 - Why others should do what you tell them to?
3 - What is your definition of "trolling"?

ANSWER!!!!

/m

Friend Mega, while your post it quite spot on, it reminded me of:

"Pot calling the kettle black"

Friend Pixie,
the only Pot I know, is Pol, the wise cambodian social architect.

Regardless, you can't compare the mindless repetition of the same few sentences,
with the elaborate, sophisticated outbursts or yours truly.

Come on!
