Uhm, Amiga "coughed up money" something like 20 months *before* the alleged completion. And at least according to Amiga, they did so because Hyperion asked them to, driven by financial difficulties. And Amiga explicitly state that they considered themselves to be paying the buy-back amount *before* completion (which everyone seems to agree mid-2003 is).

No they coughed up the money in April and May of 2003, look at the receipts.
