One only needs to look at the court documents (and the resulting comments here), talking about Hyperion having spent (gasp) OVER A MILLION DOLLARS (amazed look) on the OS4 development over the last 5+ years. That number is being thrown around as if it was an impressive, big number --- and yet, a million bucks is less than Apple spend on R&D each and every day. If even just 10% of their R&D budget goes into MacOS X development, then in the last 10 years, that's roughly half a billion.

Exactly, and Amiga Inc. is saying they are just going to GIVE $10,000,000.00 away?? How can we or their investors or whomever say they even care about their company or their products, wether it be AmigaOS or AmigaAnywhere. They've never spent 1/100th that amount on anything else.

Also, look how many years and how many hundreds of millions, maybe billions? of dollars Microsoft spent on Vista. (Not that I dislike Vista this is not what I mean)

You'd think for Billion dollars they would have come up with something that would have changed the world of computing. But at the end of the day when I go to shutdown my Vista machine, what was really different in my computing experience over XP? The windows were transparent??

@umisef

Agreed again. I'm personally in the "hobby" camp, hoping we'll get a stable user base in the 5 digit range. I would be very surprised indeed if any amiga computer posed a market threat to even Apple.
