GPUs can move pixels around at silly speeds, that's not the problem...
I think the problem the folks are getting at here is that either the GPU isn't being utilised (yet) or the current 68k emulation of the graphics.library is slowing the code down such that it, rather than the basic blitting/rectangle filling etc., is the rate determining step.
Or even worse - both i.e. graphics.library is still 68K and software redraw is being used (and hence is emulated 68K code too)...
Once the graphics.library is ported to PPC and hardware acceleration is fully utilised, you can doubltess expect a lot more bang from it..
