While I hate every single day the update gets "delayed", I really like your perfectionist attitude towards it.
Getting it done well is better than getting it done quick.

I can wait some more... :)

@Rogue

I'm doing my bit! Having bought a µA1 off ebay, I have now received delivery of a brand spanking new, virgin µA1 from GSS supplied in a mini-box.
"thanks Gunne"

Just registered OS4.0 with Hyperion. Bring on release 3!!!!!!

Now all I need is access to the owners forum!

Well, it's not so much of a "perfectionists" attitude. We have a problem that needs to be ironed out, and we'll do that before we release the update. It really can't go any other way. We classified this issue as "showstopper".

Archive, most likely. The scope won't be so big as Update 1, but certainly bigger than Update 2. As such, it will contain new versions of quite a number of system components.

i wonder why we need so many threads like this, sure i see the eager to get an upd but as much as people ask and dig...there wont be any suprise left and then 2 weeks after its released...there will be threads like "when is the next upd comming...bla bla"

just my 2 cents anyway.

I plan to make a clean install when Update3 is out.. Do I have to install update1 , 2 and then 3 or is every thing in Update3?

@RWO

Better do a clean install when OS4 final is out, altough is might not be neccesary (sp?) to do this !

When you do, you'l have to redo or copy all your icons, preferences, internet prefs...

I'd say don't unless you find your system unstable or buggy.

Cheers,

Martin

@RWO

I'm sure that with Update 3, it's not neccessary to do a full install, but only an update install. When the final version is out, a full install would be adviceable

I'm sure Hyperion has the right answers

I am wondering the same thing. I was advised that if my system was stable I did not need to install the UpDate2. Now that UpDate3 is coming out will I need to install UpDate2 to install Update3? Also do I NEED to do a complete reinstall?

Thanks,
John Paul

@cope

Well, i do believe you need Update 2 in order to update to Update 3 So, you won't need a full install unless you had Update 2 in your system
