Hehe, I haven't installed the latest firmware update either, simply because Rogue specifically said I shouldn't touch it unless I had issues with the current install. I didn't have any issues, so I took his advice. That said, it would of course be a different matter if future SW updates depends on it ... . SlimJim |

If someone updates the OS4 native ixemul.library. It currently can run most m68k ixemul software, i.e. you can use the GeekGadgets tools and use configure scripts, etc., but for creating PPC native ixemul software, especially with vork(), etc., there are still some changes required. chicken is good when it comes to theese things but well i would like to say it....the new uboot helped me as a end user. (but yes everytime i do a update to uboot i are swetting like a maniac ...though if something goes wrong .... (which it havent yet though i have updated quite alot (beeing an betatester and all) )

I have the new firmware burned on a cd & I know it boots & asks if I want to do the update, but I aborted when it gave me the choice to do so. I know it has to be done before I install update 3, which should be soon now. I do have a minor problem with boot-ups. Once in a while I boot to a black screen or a incomplete workbench or a frozen workbench. I have to do a hard reset to get it going, sometimes more then once. If the firmware update fixed this problem, I'd do it right away. Guess the only way to find out is to just do it. _________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |
