@Atheist

Let's hope their delay doesn't prevent it being ported, if that is indeed the case !

@RickCB

I'm somewhat surprised Titan hasn't jumped in here, as it's pretty close, and I expect some of the 'not sure yet/undecided' may have become orders (which they then couldn't update the poll).

It would be nice also to see the questions about TP etc raised in this thread answered...anyone currently in contact with them?

7 more to go by the poll, not many if it's accurate...

@wegster

Maybe you saw Michael answer that very question in the news thread?

both but mainly because of money (ie..whats the point...or like..lets wait a while to see etc)

Thats a real shame, if its boards developers want/need then maybe the community could club together and help out.

If its money for funding development, this could be harder to find

@Rudei

yes, but its like... lets use it against them so they wont nag for now as we know there is no market yet... (that sort of thing... or so i feel).

but the thing is, if they where loaned a board or 5 they would start right away but heh..who knows...the ports/projects can take a long time and well i wont live without mine (setup).

I can't order, even if I wanted to as they only accept payment by credit card

Have they set a timelimit as to when they need 60 preorders?

@Toaks

I am tempted to lend my AmigaOne to one of these development teams. Does that make me desperate or devoted?

Both I guess! I think if I had a second system I too would consider lending it out to a worthwhile cause, so you are not alone dude

Not sure, I should imagine that they would give it a month or so. Going by the numbers we have so far confirmed it looks like that part of the "deal" will be met

Hopefully a new production run isn't far away. But what is really needed is developer sytems that could either be bought cheap or loaned out or something? Unlike other platforms, the people who have stuck with developing on the Amiga are not part of some huge company, just a few individuals with a passion for the Amiga (like most of us here I guess).

@sicky

yes, and as i asked eyetech about... but it seems they wont loan out either...

anyway i hope someone will do exactly this in the future, in most case's the developers want to keep the system when the product is completed anyway (thats how its with "other" systems and the very same thing happened to me too..
and then the developer might just cough up the doe and continue support, sure it might be a risk but as always...its a chicken and a egg situation.
(though theese chickens comes with a passion)

(someone like eyetech is bound to send out hw to developers to boost development if he wants to sell boards into the future... thats my 2 cents on this case anyway , but yes the boards costs alot of money and well i do understand the situation but i somewhat hope an rich man will pop up soon and just spew out hw to developers all over the world.)

BUMP again..

54 preorders. Only one in 24 hours?!? What's up?

But these 54 preorders can't be the only ones made.
Some users must have preordered from amiga-news.de also.

Not everyone visits AW.. Can't understand why though

My thoughts exactly

I think that they must have 60 pre-orders by now, as not everyone who has pre-ordered it will have bothered to vote here! So one part of the deal will have been fulfilled (minimum 60), what about the other part (needing a developer system)?

Neither me
