Does this mean that the 2.4.26 version of MOL will work with this kernel?

I get these errors with every kernel I've tried:
hdc: command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hdc: command error: error=0x54 end_request: I/O error, dev hdc, sector 344080 Buffer I/O error on device hdc, logical block 43010
What's causing these errors ?

| @PegXlin Hi PegXlin. Okay I'm afraid I'm missing something in the instructions because I ended up having to reinstall the old kernel and upgrade to the current sarge variant for debian. Here is my current setup: Amigaone XE 800MHz G4. Installed Ross Vumbaca's 2.4.26 debian kernel and upgraded from the woody to sarge version. Now running KDE 3.3 on the desktop. I have linux installed on a separate hard disk, partitioned as follows: hdb1 (kernel image boot), hdb2 (swap), hdb3 (root), hdb5 (ext3), hdb6 (ext3), hdb7 (ext3), hdb8 (ext3), hdb9 (ext3), hdb10 (ext3), hdb11 (ext3). The hdb3 partition has all the main application folders (/etc, /dev, /home, /tmp, /boot, . . . ). Hopefully this information will help in guiding me through the upgrade process. Would like to utilize some of the additional modules and run MOL which is another topic I need help on with regards to the PegXMac live CD. Thanks PegXlin,

pegxlin dev is running a dedicated forum for MOL, you should ask there for MOL stuff.
to boot kernel from him, you should do what he wrote earlier : burn the kernel and modules to a CD and boot from the CD with the commands diskboot x:y z 500000; bootm as written on the debian quickstart guide provided with your A1.

| Hi,
When using kernel 2.6, device ids can change for video cards.
Do a lspci at the cmd prompt:
lspci -v
print the output here!
Then edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (or whatever the file is now for Xorg?)
Then change the PCI:0:1:0 to the output given from the lspci
Also check the correct setting for the driver module?
