We should learn from this optimist.

Who cares if the "platform" survives?

@AmigaBlitter
A nice sentiment, but it's difficult enough in some cases for users from similar but different (ie, OS4/MOS/AROS) to work together. Hopefully there is at least some chance of that, but where companies are involved, it's about $...something none of the above seem to have in abundance, let alone to the point of having 'free money' to pool together when it's quite likely their interests are different from each other...

Nobody wants to resurrect the Amiga.

Various Amigoid operating systems OTOH...

@AmigaBlitter

with BBRV calling peoples posts "moronic crap" - especially my posts - do I not see any chance that Genesi has a chance (ok there are lots of fan-boys who trust everything BBRV writes, but there is no chance for Genesi).
I have "nothing" against Genesi... but they do have no professional leadership.

But I am looking really much forward to check out Amy'05 and PowerVixxen

i just read that thread & i must say that is NOT the way ANYONE with half a brain should be acting in the first place, IMO BBRV should be political spin-doctors/PR gurus instead of messing with our community. Thats certanly not how a CEO/MD of any company should act in public!

@thread
it would be a nice idea if everyone got along, unfortuneatly everyones entileted to there own opinion and arguments/flames will always happen between the types of amiga-ish OS's.

wizz.

yes. they are 5 seperate robot lions. when they are in danger, they join together and make one big robot called voltron. when they're doing this, they shout voltron ! voltron ! voltron !. that's why we say voltron ! voltron ! voltron ! when some small things come together to form a bigger thing. at least my generation.

@coze

Voltron is not necessarily a good example. There was also Vehicle Force Voltron, which was made up of cars and trucks. As a result of these two different animated series, there are fans of the different Voltrons who claim that their preferred Voltron is better.

Now, I don't want to start a flame-war, but I have to say that I prefer Vehicle Force Voltron to Lion Force Voltron!

Anomaly.

@coze

Yes, now i remember. It was a beautyfull cartoon.

@ all

anyway, in the world of the IT, today , create an alliance is more simple than ever. The grow of the internet and other facilities in communication (sharing data, code, projects) trought an unique big portal can make the developement of a system more fast, clean and powerfull.

So this is not the time to create hundred of unusable project but olny one stable and lasting (enduring) project.

Right, so should they join the Army, Navy or Airforce......
and do we really want the developers of NG Amiga drafted to Iraq or Afghanistan?

While I don't quite agree with what BBRV said, there's more to life then him (regarding AmigaOS4 Pegasos and so on).. there's a good community, good developers, and I hope you don't stop visiting Morphzone for this attitude alone..
Who can stand unite should, the others will come later, I think it was the Friedens who said: "miracles we do at once, the impossible may take a little longer"...

Chinese proverb is: "We do the Impossible everyday, miracles take a little longer"
