You mean something more like an A600, then?
Anyway, questions...
1. What plans do you have for the MicroA1? Will we see set-top boxes with "MicroA1 and OS4 inside"[1]? Train ticket machines running OS4? (Please sell one to WAGN so they can upgrade the crappy Windows-based thing that never works properly on my local station )
2. This says that your retail business closed at the end of September, and Stellar Dreams has taken over retail sales of the AmigaOne in the UK. Stellar Dreams' website says that the AmigaOne is "coming soon". Question: Who can I buy an AmigaOne from in the UK, as AFAICS at this point in time nobody is selling them?
3. Will there be a new version of the A1 XE to give it some of the extra features of the MicroA1 in the near future?
Chris [1] Techy question: Could somebody knock up a DVD Recorder device with a DVB-t tuner card based entirely on Amiga technology at a reasonable price point? One which couldn't record from analogue sources would keep the price down. Such a device is not yet available and there is a market for one (ie. I want one) _________________ "Miracles we do at once, the impossible takes a little longer" - AJS on Hyperion Avatar is Tabitha by Eric W Schwartz |

| After reading this comment on ann.lu I am wondering, what is the status of the Micro ATX A1 (not MicroA1)? Is it still go for production or is it cancelled?
[ED] Nevermind it has been confirmed here.[/ED] |

Not really, . . . I mean a folding numeric keypad that opens out for use! I believe some Laptops (at least at one stage) had numeric keypads that folded away before the display was closed down!_________________ -vortexau, who's A1 XE-G4 remains at half-RAM ! | If you release a 1200 like Amiga, can you put in 2 or 4 Compact Flash sockets on it (they could be the equivalent of disk drives for the next 10 years). And a zip drive on the right side. (Iomega might be interested in getting involved with you guys on this one).
I really am looking forward to an A1 that supports DDR, I don't think SDRAM is fast enough for a 1.33 GHz CPU. (I'm not techie enough to the answer to that one).
We need 1.33 GHz and higher G4s.
Also, I L O V E my A2000 case. Can't you bring that out of retirement? I want a desktop case. My A1 is going to cost me $4,000 Canadian, I don't want it falling over. The case needs widening though, so more devices could be put inside.
Also, need RAID on motherboard.
Also, how about getting a 16 Meg flashrom in there to make it almost bootable with NO external source of SW!!!!????!!!!
AmigaOne! AOS4.0! No EQUIVALENT!!!!!!!!!! and none supass! |

???? Don't you have much of a range in cases in Canada? Desktop cases are still available in Oz.
You can fit /|______|\ feet to stabilise Tower cases. I have an (at present unused) 24" high Tower case that can take FIVE 5.25" devices & SIX 3.5" devices.
My 16.5" high AmigaOne case can take FOUR 5.25" drives & SEVEN 3.5" drives and, at 7.75" wide, seems stable enough!?!_________________ -vortexau, who's A1 XE-G4 remains at half-RAM ! A2000HD (from 1991) 060 64Mb PicassoII with OS3.5 . . . still working. |
