@rickardr

hello, i hope this is not associated with the day today in any way what so ever
as today is "mai-katt" which is just as bad as April fools day.

If it is not a joke then i would like to help out in any way possible, many names spring to mind .. like Amiga Reborn (or just reborn) , or VS ...or why not just something very simple like unit 1 .

ps: thanks for your earlier contributions to the scene.

It seems they are the same card.

rickardr : You should tell us the features of your product because if people think about a 1.5 GHz processor and have a 264 MHz, that's not the same and we will feel frustrated ...

About the name, please, please, please, don't choose AmiSomething or AmigaStuff or PhoenixAgain ...

Think you're right and look ...

"currently available HERE Oops, sold out 2/6/2006 "

...selling like hot cakes already.

@Manu

Run a google search for com1191 and then check the google cache for the link to B.G Micro.
This board was selling for $19.99. No wonder it sold like hot cakes

@Mangelore

That explains it! There was a guy who was spamming #morphos some times ago with a link to this boards. It was 100 (or something like that) items, not tested and without a support. It was $19.99 each. He claimed that Genesi sucks because someone can sell PPC board for $19.99. I think he was banned in the end.

Maybe this is the same guy? Or somone just found a image of this board running and decited to mock current Amiga situation for fun?

f what is showing on the laptop screen is the serial output from UBoot, you guys are not even close to booting OS4

They show at least, a board that attempt to boot.

Have you see other board booting?

:)

Note, I never claimed the board doesn't boot, just that it doesn't boot OS4. There are thousands of different kinds of boards that boot, just not into OS4. Submitter claimed that his board belongs to the group that boots OS4, I was suggesting that it belongs to the other group

"For about $15, we got a board stuffed with a PowerPC 405GP processor,
2 PCI slots, IDE controller, Ethernet, a PCI Firewire card,

Good luck! A nice small price for a PPC Board =)

Ah.........As vapour as this sounds......it's more believable than Troika.
At least there is a picture of a board that is known to exist.
At least there are no outrageous graphics on screen.
If it's a hoax.....it's not hard to be more convincing than other projects.
It's more convincing than a motherboard design knocked up in Paintbrush anyway.

Errrrmmmm.... You do realise that the name Revolution is now available.
Amiga Revolution. Yeah..... Might get some press by merely knicking the name.

I did like the name Amiga Rebellion, that someone brought up though in the thread best though.

I know......The Amiga Funstation!!!!!
You know, because I remember a time when computing was fun... Geddit! Geddit?

I guess the question is.....is it possible to get AmigaOS booting that far on hardware that Hyperion say they have never seen.

When Rogue wonders why he is not seen this, is that out of amazement that there is another hardware option, or to quash our hopes? I hope the former.

All will be revealed......When it is done.

Amiga Revelation!!!!

Ok. Going back to my happy place now.
