@AmigaBlitter

Ignore him. He's just pulling off another of his "stunts" again. Fact is that they have to sign a license agreement with Amiga Inc. if they want AmigaOS for any of their hardware products and since the infamous lawsuit where Genesi sued Amiga Inc. and tried to take over the rights to the entire AmigaOS product line, it will simply not happen, ever.

@samface

I don't know him. I send him a PM. Anyway, we must consider what he say.

This was taken from the 30 days clause in the contract.

OK, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't recall offhand what the contract wording was.To my knowledge, Genesi didn't pursue matters beyond the judge's final clarification, so while we have Garry Hare's statement about Genesi's non-communication, I don't know what Genesi's side of the story was. Anyway, it's a moot point now.

This has nothing to do with the Washington state, this is a civil case, not a criminal case.

I know it wasn't a criminal case, but wrongly thought the contract was subject to Washington State law. Now, refreshing my memory, I see (from the Google cache of Samface's page) that the jurisdiction is U.S. District Court.

@bbrv

As you can see, the Amiga users, sometime, are doubtful. You know the past.

So i recommend you, to be clear and honest.
We are ready to listen what you want to say.

Thank you.

@samface

The definition of freedom applies in another way to this situation. What we are talking about is freedom of action here.

We certainly don't want the discussion to get bogged down in the classic Samface dialogue, but ask yourself if users could "trust" us when we did not release a final commercial product with the Articia. How about the Pegasos I to II upgrade? Can you google up something about our bad customer service? Please do not clutter this thread with anything but constructive suggestions Sammy. The community has no time for that.

Sorry about that. The server is on the move to a new location and ISP. Might get back up this evening, will probably go down again from time to time over the next 2-3 weeks. In the meantime, google is your friend.

@Framiga

Take it easy Framiga, please. AmigaBlitter is merely asking for some honesty, surely you can't deprive him of that?

easier than that? he claimed to NOT knowing who BB is. AmigaBlitter as "saviour of the Amiga world", is becoming ridiculus if not irritating.

@Framiga

Just beacuse i don't know him, i ask for an adeguate conversation. A proposal to the amiga parties involved (like Hyperion) could sound better, don't you think?

Like we would have time for your pointless and provocative "peg-pong" games. Like I've said so many times before, be seated at the negotiations table with the other Amiga partners or stop bothering us.

And then you come here and try to teach us about cooperation and collaboration...

Whether he does or doesn't is not the point. The point is that he asked of bbrv for honesty (whether bbrv are honest is not under scrutiny within this post, mind you). Wegster has already asked that flames be kept to a minimum, this must be adhered to. Tempers fray easily, when someone calls another "weird".

That's what is meant by *takin it easy*.

@bbrv

Would you care to clarify what your blog remark about the lawsuit is supposed to mean?

Should it be read as "we don't personally consider the matter closed", or more like "we have a concrete plan to take further action in the near future"?

@AmigaBlitter

"BBRV" are represantatives of Genesi, the backstabbing company that tried to take over the rights to the entire AmigaOS product line through a lawsuit using an old license agreement for the AmigaDE that was originally issued to one of their former business ventures in Germany called "Thendic". That is just one thing of all the stuff they pulled but I'm not going to drag all that into this thread. All I'm trying to say here is that there is nothing that they could possibly say or do to earn back the trust of any Amiga company again. You won't see Amiga Inc., Hyperion nor any other Amiga related company signing any agreements with Genesi, especially not license agreements, ever.
