Ok, they used a 533 MHz 440EP on this board.

The board is scalable. You can easily produce cheaper board. AFAIK, the chip, is also scalable. New and more powerful chips (pin compatible) are in development by IBM.

Can someone please mirror the images, as I can't connect to http://safir.amigaos.se for some reason.
Possibly black listed by my ISP, or my ISP has been black listed.

Cheers,
Tim

I'll get a word to our site-builder, it might be that your ISP is blocked.
I'll pass your IP, so you get through.

@T_Power

Do you get any message at all from Safir?
(Like Doh)
Firefox with an adblock can also cause problems.

Oh yeah, the situation is looking much improved! I think these guys should not have too much trouble showing the board's potential to Amiga Inc - you could even build Sams into laptops! What would be nice is to get all the paperwork and drivers done in time for the christmas shopping rush, that would give the Sam team a nice cash injection and get their business firmly started.

Can you connect to

http://safir.amigaos.se/main.php
or
http://safir.amigaos.se/main.php?d=newsfull&news=400 ?

Sounds like a time out issue to me, Safir can be a little slow now and then, and especially today.

Yes, its all nice but I would prefer a Board with 750GX at 1 GHz and Tundra 108 bridge.

ACK Software Controls is working on an ATX formfactor board called the PowerVixxenTL (not to be confused with the PowerVixxenLT which is the a1200 expansion). It will come with a 1.7GHz 7448 for $1000-1200 usd, or with a 1GHz 750GL for $650 usd. Theres two versions of this board. Theres the stripper version, which has no onboard PATA/SATA/USB. That functionality is added with a combo card. The stripper board has a 66MHz PCI slot especially for this card. The newer design has a south bridge which will give onboard PATA/SATA/USB, but I dont think this design is quite ready yet. IIRC both boards will have PCI-Express (maybe 1x lane. I think the mobo with southbridge has more lanes though). The stripper board is more or less ready, but with some small technical problems. The biggest show stopper at the moment is the OS4 license. ACK badly wants to show his hardware running at Amiwest.

EDIT: It also has 2x gigabit ethernet, and I THINK the PVTL is based on the Tundra Tsi 109 northbridge.

EDIT2: More information from an old IRC log:
[15:48:28] {jahc} what functionality was the soutbridge going to provide again? PATA+SATA+USB+PCI-express?
[15:51:35] {ack} PATA / SATA / USB / AC97 / PCI and it's connected to Host bridge using PCI Express 4x (+bridge on Tsi109)

Thats just a small update from the world of IRC. It just seemed like a lot of this information wasnt making it to the outside world. People seemed to have little knowledge of these products last night at the Pianeta IRC session.
