I have this afternoon, asked DaveyD to remove me as a staff member of Amigaworld.

Reluctantly he has agreed to this and my moderator status will be removed as soon as he is able to do so.

I would like to say that I am stepping down because I believe it is the right time to do so and not because of any internal pressure. I would like to thank DaveyD for the opportunity to allow me to have moderated in one of the most fantastic Amiga portals ever.

My leaving will allow this portal to evolve without this old war horse constantly gumming up the works

I thank my fellow moderators past and present for all the fun we have had over the years

I have requested that DaveyD will allow me to continue being an operator on #amigaworld the Amigaworld IRC channel and he has agreed to this, (use Wookiechat if you visit ok?)
- oh and don't come in there looking for trouble, cos I'll kick ya!

In the meantime, I will continue to occassionally pop in here from time to time and annoy someone, whilst continuing to plug Total Amiga Magazine until they get 1000 subscribers, where upon I will rest and shut the heck up

Thanks for all your efforts. This is a good time to have my Admin banner removed as well. You have your efforts regarding Total Amiga Magazine and I with my company.

I just want to say I still support AmigaWorld.net 100%, IMO it's the best Amiga website available.

I will contact DaveyD shortly about this.

this is a sad day for amigaworld. mikey c and mike b no longer moderators. while things like this needs to happen to keep things fresh, this still saddens me. best of luck to you both.

I hope that you will still be visiting the AmigaWorld forums. Perhaps you can also speak more freely, now that you are no-longer a mod? For example, if you see something that's not "Pro Amiga" (I still do not know what you mean by that), then please make a reply post explaining why you think it's not a good idea, and start a valid debate on it. Debating something specific has more chance of success than debating some vague philisophical idea that can (and will be) misunderstood.

Thank you for all your efforts and work in the past on this site. You are, probably, just about the most widely known (and talked about! ) moderator on AW.Net over the years.

Thank you for playing such a big part in making AmigaWorld what it is today.

I understand your reasons for stepping down as a mod - I hope you still come here as often as a member - maybe you'll go back to being a mod at some point again!
