I did not know Gary very well. We exchanged a few of emails and shared a mailing list or two in the early part of this century.

I enjoyed his energy & humor. I missed him when he left the Amiga scene.

Best wishes to all those who knew him well, and especially to his family.

Please try to remember the good times.

Based on my limited contacts, I think that is what he would have wanted.

This could be another one for the "Say it in music" thread. Can anyone think of a sad song to dedicate to the late Gary?

sad news. We should be grateful to those who do something useful with their lives.

I never saw a picture of Gary Peake until i found one at Amiga History.

Once again, my condolences to his family and everyone close to him.

What do you think about "Coldplay - Fix You" ?
The first song that came to my mind was that one.

My deepest and most sincere sympathies goes to his family and friends. From loosing 2 relatives to cancer not all that long ago, I too know how it feels and I wouldn't wish it for the worst of my enemies.

Hmmmm... that page hasn't been updated since 2002, and still lists Gary Peake as Director of Developer Support...

He doesn't look exactly like what I'd expected him to... but then, nobody ever looks like what you expect him to when you've only "met" him online...
