Small status update on the latest version of Epistula, still some way to go but just an update to say all is not dead

Nice to hear you're still on it. But I was wondering: iirc you got a Pegasos to develop/port Epistula for/to MorhpOS as well. Any word on that?

Failing that or a 68k port, just make it work with OS4Emu please.

@Cheese

No. I didn't receive a Pegasos because I made the decision to go OS4 only as the source contained to much OS4-only code to start with and I'm only interested in supporting OS4.

That means no 68k version is possible either.

Sorry

Only interested in supporting OS4? Your choice ofcourse, but why? I mean, porting it to MorphOS should be easy and would make many users happy. Bet they would even pay a modest fee for it.

@Cheese

It wouldn't be easy, I use a LOT of new OS4-only functionality in the code with OS3.x or MorphOS most certainly won't have available to them.

Sorry, but my mind it made up, it just ain't gonna happen If it works with OS4Emu then fine, I'll be pleased for MorphOS users.

I just want to say WOW! The screenshots looks very promising ... I know that you know what a nice IM client should be like so I'm hoping that it will become what you and all AOS 4 (I guess it's) users wants ...

Keep up the good work!

I'm very happy to see you continue this project. Screenshots looking mighty good there. IMO this is one of the most important projects at the time, as every OS should have a decent IM client.
Keep up your good work dude!

I'll be working on Arpeggio when I've finished this update to Epistula. I've got the basics down for it so it's started and should be a nice project.

It's always nice to work on something else for a while after a big update.

Both of those features depend more on the plugin but avatar support is available through Epistula now, you can use one of the built in images, or select your own.

Epistula will pass this image onto the plugin, after that it's up to the plugin to do what it wants with the data.

File transfer is the very last feature I'm going to implement, but I'll give it my best shot for the next release.

Give the filedirect a good shoot ;) This is one of most important features for me and many others specially musicians. Many musicians sends me demos and they alwaaaaays forget i cant accept/send files how many times i tell them. If i tell them to use mail/ftp they just ignore doing it as they tell me to buy a win machine hehe. I would also like to send them my stuff without having to use some other program. For MSN its more important but would be nice for icq too.
So i hold my thumbs ;) Keep up the good work.

How will Arpeggio be different to TuneNet? TuneNet has ####loads of plugins now, allthough it still miss a few really important ones.
Or one important one rather, a plugin based on the latest UADE.

Why are you planning to write a new audio player from scratch?
Or, will it be something totally different to TuneNet?

If not, why not consider helping out with some cool plugins for TuneNet instead? =) (uade! uade!) hehe

Any progress on Operation Counterstrike? I vaguely remember months ago you mentioned you were looking to resume work on it, and a preview/demo release would follow soon?
