@Mrodfr

I know, I already repaired the 2060 DCE sh!t 3 times at AmigaCenter but it completly burnt last month (with smoke and sound) without destroying the A2000. The DCE sh!t is now at the right place, the trashcan. I will replaced it with the Zeus 040 I kept in the future.

The A4000T has also a DCE sh!t called CyberstormPPC which doesn't want to boot anymore. Have to replace it with the original phase5 Cyberstorm I also kept (but the PPC side is dead, so no OS4 for this one).

The CPU module of the A1 died last year after I moved home (a week before the final OS4 release, grrr). It's being currently repaired by ACube. Hope I will get it soon.

So, no Amiga since 6 monthes.

Bye,
TMTisFree

@amitv : Do you seriously believe that boards will be out because we are at mi-May ? ... And there is no OS.

@Insanity : Perl used to build a frontend ? It is already unusable to do easily what it was intended to. I still don't understand how people could use Perl ... I hope you will succeed in your project.

Unsure what the point would be. Although he DID say 'devs will see mid-May' or something similar, there isn't a whole lot of point in giving out boards unless they're to get OS4 ported to them.

Besides of course, so someone like ssolie can put one in his sig

@corto

actually it is working as intended. There is a lot of text handling and I already knew Perl.

Do get me right, without strict Perl is useless since only one person can ever read that code (the coder himself).

Do you mean the uA1-c design in general or one specific unit? I'm not being sarcastic here...just curious...did Adam really help to get the ua1-c redesigned?

I was heavily involved in the uA1-I and the uA1-I, moreso the I, but did work with MAI Logic to understand the VIA Southbridge lockup scenario and how it interacted with Articia on the MK2 board compared to MK3.

@ackcontrls

Hello Adam,

Interesting info. Potential new ACK Amiga owners are interested on progress, were new developer boards delivered as mentioned? Has that been pushed back? If so any update as to when?

Thanks!

@ackcontrls

Any updates on whether the dev boards went out since we are nearly into June?

Any updates on Manufacturing partner info and the final ship schedule info which was said would be coming "soon" in your joint April 29, 2007 press release with Amiga, Inc.?

I don't know if anybody has received one of those dev board.

But I guess that even if someone actually did, they wouldn't tell us, mostly because of NDA's and things like that...

Ah, so you know all about the hardware quirks of the AmigaOne. I heard that OS4 initializes the interrupt controller differently or sets some undocumented register to configure the southbridge's interrupt controller for accurate interrupt delivery. Does OS4 only initialize the PIC in fully nested mode, or are there any other undocumented register settings?

Don't count on it. Where there's no smoke, there's no fire. If there were boards, it would be announced from the highest mountain.

So did you really expect results this time?

I'll only be convinced if I can at least take a look at one of these boards!
