And, salass00 is breaking a speed record! A Dreamcast plugin is available!!!.....

What we need now, with all these CPU intensive players is an output plugin, that
converts all tunes in the playlist to mp3/ogg/etc...!

BEAN, mr tunenet, wake up from your slumber! :)
You've been playing PS3 for way too long now! TuneNet needs some love!

Done. Just checked the CVS too, and doesn't seem to be any activity there either.

You can already do this with:
Lame (MP3) encoder
The AIFF plugin also has recording support

First configure what plugin/format you want to use in Preferences, then enable Edit -> Record in the menus.

@salass00

but it only records it to one long huge file doesn't it?
i meant like, saving tunes with correct name, filling some id3tags based on what info it gets from the plugins.

hey, thanx for the update of the adplug plugin!
time for some heavy testing now. =)

It starts recording when you press play. IIRC it starts a new recording for every file. Not sure if it writes id3tags though.

Changes to In_cube since the last plugin update! Lots of new format, even WII, XBOX, ETC, stream formats. ;) It's not only a Gamecube player anymore.. =)

# 0.35 source - new support (for .fsb with IMA, MIC, SWAV, .I100, EA_PSX, KNON (PCM & DSP)), fixed EA/XA, maybe fixed Winamp 5.52 crash?
# 0.34 source - new accurate ADX decoder (filter coefficients calculated properly, old fixed ones were only correct for 44.1 kHz files and 500 Hz cutoff, now the file sample rate is used and cutoff is adjustible (though 500 Hz is standard)), fix EAM track length
# 0.33 source - fix NDS .strm looping (in IMA ADPCM type, looping now sample-accurate) and stereo (in 8-bit and 16-bit type, same channel was just used twice)
# 0.32 source - add 8-bit and IMA ADPCM NDS .strm support, rewrite Xbox decoder to use new IMA decoder, fix Wii .fsb length for unlooped files
# 0.31 source - fix some file handle leaks, add kRAW (Geometry Wars) and Wii Lego Star Wars GCM support, fix crash on info window with THP
# 0.30 source - added THP and .zwdsp support
# 0.29 source - fixed broken last chunk of files affected by the Super Paper Mario hack
# 0.28 source - Special-case handling for Super Paper Mario, fixed ADX volume change when editing configuration
# 0.27 source - fixed crash on MIH detection fail
# 0.26 source - hopefully fixed the 44/22khz rstm issue, fixed standard DSP decoding which had mysteriously broken between 0.23b4 and 0.24...
# 0.25 source - rstm improvements (fixed 22khz playing too fast, better header format tolerance, added PCM type for Wii Sports), added GCA (Wii) and STRM (NDS) formats
# 0.24 source - 29 formats added! Including some Wii-specific DSP! Numerous bug fixes! Code still a mess!

Update 18:
* Tidied up the list of supported formats, and added links to the plugins used to play a specific format, to make it easier for people to find the right plugin! Well I started, it's not 100% yet.

DivX audio plugin anyone? My favourite radio station switched to that some time ago (Mplayer indicates both "ASF" and DivX).

i bet divx uses a lot of different audio formats but ac3 is one of them.
http://www.os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=audio/misc/a52_codec.lha this could be used to make a plugin i guess (share amiga library)... or this one: http://liba52.sourceforge.net/downloads.html the original unix library.... i think you need to be a bit more specific about the audio format.

EDIT: Update 19: Added resources for AC3.

I just started to test the batch of new plugs.

First up, the AdPlug Plugin, it crashed on the first file i tested it with.

http://crashlog.os4depot.net/index.php?function=view&crashlogid=14

EDIT: And the second file I tested, that was in another format.

The DSF plugin seems to work as it should, hehe, it was QUITE CPU intensive, yes.. =)

Got me an opporturnity to test my DSF/PSF tool ports too, they worked like they should.

Listening to Beetle King (NintendoDS) music now, with the 2SF plugin!
So far so good! :D

It sounds a bit like it doesn't playback in 44100? Slightly noisy quality?
But maybe the NDS sound is a bit crappy? (Not noticeable when listening on a real DS with crappy speakers...)

EDIT: Uhhh.. the soundtrack in this game SUCKS! Gonna try another one now.

And while i am updating this thread, Salass00 released another plugin! :D
It plays two YM variants; CYM and GYM huge thanx for this Salass00!

There is one problem though, it's name clashes with one of curty's plugins, so a rename would be nice.
