@spotUP

If you disable TN_AdPlug.bin you may as well disable TN_AdPlug.tnplug since the .bin file contains all the adplug code.

From what I can tell from your crashlog the (assuming I didn't make any mistakes) the crash is in file adplug/hsc.h line 39:
Quote:

std::string gettype() { return std::string("HSC Adlib Composer / HSC-Tracker"); }

Looks pretty harmless to me (unfortunately) .

I must have misread your posts then.

I fixed some bugs for v1.4 of adplug plugin but I doubt it's related. In any case if you could post a crashlog from this version when you're feeling better I could check if it is still in the same area.

As for the MDX plugin it will currently loop endlessly on most songs. I have put a limit on this for the next version (v1.2) so it will play the loop only once and then fade out (I also increased the priority to 19 on the decoder process). It works very nicely here.

The adplug plugin doesn't crash here anymore, but instead it's silent?

heeeey!

GREAT NEWS! WE CAN FINALLY HAVE _PROPER_ XM PLAYBACK!!!
A new version of MilkyTracker is released, and it's player kicks the #### out of the dreaded modplug! :D

Quote:

MilkyTracker v0.90.80 is out

This is a big release for us and we hope you'll like it too. As usual, the new version fixes several bugs and replay issues but more interestingly, the code refactoring has resulted in two things: A) Cool new features. B) MilkyTracker is now open source (GPL). That's right, dig in, patch, port, maintain, you are welcome to do so. Linux distributions can also now include MilkyTracker in their sofware repositories, so spread the word. We'd also like to see some quality player plugins and whatnot come out of this.

You might have already noticed but with the new release, the website was also rebooted and the manual now has a comprehensive list of the effect commands with their explanations. Hoping to serve you better and all in all, provide a better MilkyTracker experience. If you're still reading this, now would be a good time to stop and go get your copy of MilkyTracker from downloads. For more reading, check out the ChangeLog.

So head over to Milkytracker.net and download the sources, or download them directly here if you wanna make
a plugin. The milkyplayer core is separated nicely, and it imports some other mod formats as well!

BAH! My A1 has eaten it's first battery! I can't be bothered to remove/insert this bad one today, and i have ordered a new one that should arrive tomorrow or something like that, so you'll get the log tomorrow.

Seriously, am I the only one that has problems with this one?
Or am I the only one that has tested it?

People, help us out here! download a couple of tunes from the adlib dir at ftp.modland.com and test it out... please!...

great news! there's a new tracker released for windows.
it's called Protrekkr. It's the little brother of renoise! It includes a softsynth and a 303 emulator and stuff. It's intended to be used to make music for 64k intros.

The replayer source is included in the archive, download here!

This one is interesting, we don't have MDC, MDX and MYM! And I suspect these formats are quite cool, MDC and MDX are from the Sharp X68000! I don't know about MYM though, MYM anyone? Personally I think this one looks like the best alternative for X68000 playback, as it supports a number of formats.

The s98 plugin should also be able to handle VGM and MYM formats although I haven't tested it with either of these formats.

The replayer included is a bit weird.

From what I have read it seems that you need to use Protrekkr to export a .ptp file as well as a Ptk_properties.h header file and then using these and the replayer sources you can compile a replayer optimised for this particular module (the .ptp version that is, not the .ptk).

Doesn't sound very useful for a TuneNet plugin ...
