For us ignorant people... what is 64th Note ? Is it commercial, freeware...?

@Varthall

64th note is a plugin Nintendo64 USF player for winamp. There was apparently a BeOS version and it is freeware. Here's a link to some tunes and the latest winamp pluging can be downloaded from there as well. It is based on the project64 emulator

@spotUP

No further progress to report yet as I've been away from the A1 for the last few days.

I've been spending most of my time playing "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" on my parents' PS3 (currently playing it at "crushing" difficulty).

I've also been looking into some other possible programming projects like FUSE API f.e., that I may look into during the summer when I hopefully should have some more free time for programming.

Aha, well, that's some sort of status update anyway! =)
I don't understand what FUSE is... or what it should be used for, but, good luck with it!

@spotUP

Well I got rid of the threading code and added the code to output audio to TuneNet but it isn't playing anything yet because of endian problems with the CPU interpreter (reports illegal opcode and exits).

Neither of them are into playing games though. The PS3 was bought to play blu-ray movies and not for the games. IIRC the ability to play games was considered was considered more as a drawback than an advantage.

I have borrowed Uncharted and Call of Duty 4 from my brother who also has a PS3.

To anyone interested in doing a SidPlay2 based plugin... I've read about problems compiling it with gcc 4. If these problems remain, use Debians version of libsid2 which is fixed.
And use these distortion patches for even nicer sound:

Salass00 ported an Apple Lossless Audio Decoder to OS4! =)
Let's hope he has some plans to make it a TuneNet plugin!

inFMPMD plays OVI, OPI, OZI, M, M2 and MZ music! Source Homepage

This plugin is just a wrapper for two dlls:

Quote:

Requirements
------------

winfmp.dll Ver 0.01 or later vesion. (OVI OPI OZI)
pmdwin.dll Ver 0.15 or later vesion. (M M2 MS MP MZ)

One would need to find the source code for these, if available.

PMDWin.dll source code (OPI, OVI, OZI formats)

Are there any source of files in either of these formats?

I tried looking on ftp.modland.com but didn't find them there.

".m4a" or ".mov".

You can find some samples here:

i just tried another tune, and it worked.
so maybe it's specific to that file.

@spotUP

Well it seems that alac_decoder doesn't handle .mov files (only .m4a). I have fixed the crashing in the 1.2 version I just uploaded as well as made it so it doesn't try to open .mov files any more.
