The TFMX-Plugin did not work here and show me a GR (Tunenet Opener), but it will be recognized as TFMX-Module in the Tunenet-playlist.

My Files are named:

tfmx.tunename
sample.tunename

is this correct?

libfaad2 is already ported...
there's commandline players too... those should help.

faad library (shared amigaos library)

Freeware Advanced Audio Decoder
-------------------------------
This is an AmigaOS4 port of libfaad, a library for decoding
Advanced Audio (AAC) files.
This archive contains the full source code for the library and
other included programs, as well as pre-compiled versions of the programs.

Contents:
lib:
libmp4ff.a - OS4 port of libmp4ff. A library for reading mp4 files.
Provided as a link library.

Binaries:
AACPlay - Simple AAC player. Currently only supports mp4 (.m4a) files.
Start with AACPlay

faad2 - A command line frontend to the faad library. Can be used
to convert AAC files to .wav or raw PCM data.

faad.library - The decoder library.

Libs:
faad.library - The OS4 port of the AAC decoder library (libfaad).
Provided as a shared library. This is the same file
as the one found under "Binaries".

Include:
Header files to use when creating programs using the
faad decoder library (faad.library) and the mp4 reader
library (libmp4ff.a)

Sources:
The source code for the libraries and included programs.
To recompile the faad.library and libmp4ff.a, cd to
Sources/faad2 and run "make -f Makefile.os4". This will build
both libraries.

No makefile is included for the AAC player and the faad2 frontend,
but I'm sure you'll figure out how to compile them ;)

faad2 decoder

libfaad

this must be enough to make a plugin, no?

finally i handle it to work this way:

mdat.tunename
smpl.tunename

That TFMX-Plugin isn't so bad, there seem only some bugs with 7 voice TFMX (replay speed is often too slow) and some sample effect bytes are wrong recongized.

nice to see aac support for os4, thats an important step forward in trying to get dvb (digital terrestrial tv, dvb-t, for my own sake) support for the os. now how about an mpeg4 decoder! :) is there such thing in the works? i guess not, when i soon get an os4 machine i will dig into the possibilites of porting a simple dvb program, maybe with help from someone.

mplayer has support for dvb, tv, dv and almost whatever you want as input. Of course it needs an underlying driver to make it work. :)

Update 58:

* It's been a long while since we saw a new TuneNet plugin get released, and it's been even longer since we saw TuneNet itself get updated, let's hope both of these change for the better, allthough, here's some good news! The plugin champ Salass00 has released a plugin for Protrekkr modules. But not only that, he ported Protrekkr itself as well. Both are available on OS4Depot. Now send some teddies or greens to Salass00, he deserves them!
* Added resources for libPAC
* Added resources for Xbox ADPCM audio codec

Here's a little round up on what we have info on, but still no plugins. Some of these are said to be hard to turn into plugins, some should be straight forward.

Read post #1 in this thread for more info if you are interested in making a plugin out of any of these as it contains the info, some of them has updated info as well.

libSAASound
libSID2/reSID (Miles better than the current SID plugin).
MDXamp/inMDX
Roland MT-32
Konami GX sound player
M1
VGMStream
SNSF/MiniSNSF
Sega System-16
in_wsr
NEZPlug
inFMPMD
Game Audio Decoder
XMP
APlayer
SHN
AC-3
XM (Through MilkyReplayer, more accurate than the current XM plugin.)

@salass00

something is off with the ptk plugin.
the tunes that use sampled beats get out of sync.
the beats are all off, cpu issue or sync issue?

About the buggy TFMX plugin...

comment from this thread:
Quote:

from the readme of the source archive:
Quote:
(c) Per Johansson Original TFMX replayer created by David Banz. This replayer port is unfortunately completely broken, be happy if some tunes sounds as you expect. This must have something to do with either AmigaOS datatypes difference, or by endian issues. If i compile the same source on Win32 it works fine. Anyhow, you are completely free to fix it anytime. ;) Enjoy!

i uploaded the sources to os4depot if anyone wants to fix those issues.

Download TuneNet TFMX Plugin Sources Here!

Quote:

Xbox ADPCM audio codec
Winamp plugin for playing the audio compressed with the Xbox ADPCM codec.Supports wave (tag 0x0069), DAT files (like those extracted with the old versions of my XWB/ZWB files unpacker) and XWB/ZWB/WBA/XSD/XSH archives (seen as an unique audio file and with the automatic skipping of WMA and PCM audio).

Do you know anywhere where I can find files in these formats?

@salass00

hmmm i guess we have to read them from an xbox game.
i will have a look around though.

http://aluigi.org/papers/in_xbadpcm.zip
Winamp plugin for playing the audio compressed with the Xbox ADPCM codec.
supports the wave files with both tag 0x0069 and 0x0011 (used for ima adpcm which is very close to xbox adpcm) and XWB/WBA/XSD/XSH archives which are seen as an unique audio file and with the automatic skipping of WMA and PCM audio.

http://aluigi.org/papers/uXboxAdpcmDecoder.zip
deeply optimized C port of the TXboxAdpcmDecoder Delphi class written by Benjamin Haisch for decompressing the Xbox ADPCM audio.
support both file-to-file and buffer-to-buffer decompression.

http://aluigi.org/papers/afsex.zip
a very simple extractor for this type of files used by some Xbox games.

http://aluigi.org/papers/unxwb.zip
great tool for extracting the data contained in the Xbox files with the XWB, ZWB and WBA extensions and any other file which contains the XWB archives.
it automatically recognizes the codec, frequency and channels of the audio files and adds the needed headers and extensions for trying to make them ready to play with any player.
the tool has also many options for the visualization of the files in the XWB archives, for the direct conversion of the files (executes a program for each one of them), direct stdout output and many debugging options.
it also support both little and big endian archives.
in case of problems playing the output files try with VLC or MPlayer.

nothing overly useful there perhaps... we'd need the source to the codec to be able to encode our own xbox adpcm's i guess... or a bunch of xbox games.

Update 59:
* Added resources for beats of rage music
* Removed SBStudio (PAC) from the list of resources.
* Added SBStudio (PAC) to the list of supported formats! Thanx Salass00!
