@ajs

Hi,

you mean through CDFS, to play files from CD0: e.g.?
Well that's AIFFs.
I am talking about files, that e.g. MakeCD creates/can create.

CU,
Mario

iso files?
you could play them by mounting the iso with disk image gui i guess.

Hi,

no complete ISOs. Single tracks. MakeCD labels them ".cdda"

Raw CD audio tracks. There's no "raw" plugin for TuneNet, and I doubt there ever will be as you never know which format the file will be in.

You're better off extracting them as AIFF through CDFS. MakeCD will happily re-write AIFF files to CD if that's your concern.

i managed (with the help of xeron) to get liborganya.a compiled, but the song>pcm tool seems a bit mac specific.. might not be a biggie for someone with a bit more coding knowledge though. =)

Update: TinySID is ported to AmigaOS4 by Salass00.
http://www.os4depot.net/?function=showfile&file=audio/play/tinysid.lha
Hopefully a plugin will follow!

You could create a .cue file and mount them that way.

With five audio tracks your .cue file could look something like this:

FILE "Track01.cdda" BINARY
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "Track02.cdda" BINARY
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "Track03.cdda" BINARY
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "Track04.cdda" BINARY
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "Track05.cdda" BINARY
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00

@salass00

maybe this can help getting the wonderswan (wsr) player working.
http://homepage1.nifty.com/~sha_w/wtd/document/english/

edit: new site with wsr tunes: http://www.arc-nova.org/chiptunes/files.php?type=WSR
edit2: in the mednafen changelog i found:
- Support for WSR(WonderSwan sound rip format) playback.
So maybe the mednafen sources holds the secret.
it's only available in mednafen 9.0 WIP, get the source here:
http://forum.fobby.net/index.php?t=getfile&id=196&

Just wanted to add that in the same way it is possible to create .cue files using wav, aiff or mp3 files for mounting with diskimage.device.

For these there are some restrictions on what formats are allowed:
mp3 files must be 44.1kHz stereo
wav and aiff files must be 44.1kHz 16-bit stereo pcm (uncompressed)

oops... the link to the mednafen source didn't work.
http://forum.fobby.net/index.php?t=msg&th=566&start=0&

i downloaded the mednafen sources and searched for all relevant references to "wsr" and they where all in src/wswan/main.cpp and mednafen/wswan/main.cpp.

I ripped out some raw Same Coupe E-Player tunes from the E-Tracker disk,
let me know if anyone wants them for testing his Sam Coupe plugin.

@spotUP

one step closer to having vgm_stream ported.. libmpg123 is compiled and uploaded to os4depot.

edit: there we go, vgm_stream compiled without warnings or errors.

Bob:Coding/Projects/vgmstream-r659> vgm_stream_decoder.exe -o test.wav xenosaga.mib
decoding xenosaga.mib
sample rate 44100 Hz
channels: 2
stream total samples: 3395504 (77.00 seconds)
encoding: Playstation 4-bit ADPCM
layout: interleave
interleave: 0x400 bytes
metadata from: assumed MIB Interleaved file by .mib extension
samples to play: 3395504 (77.00 seconds)

all seems fine, but the resulting wav files is full of dreadful whitenoise.. :/
i will test some more files..

@spotUP

i found a nice source of vgmstream rips..
http://bxaimc.hcs64.com/Rips/Sets/

tried some more, but i only get whitenoise... :(

to doublecheck i compiled vgmstream for ubunty/x86 too... and converted the same file,
and it worked... so there is nothing wrong with the in-data... most probably there's endian crap involved.
