Was Tapul just another Kouri company, didn't they wire part of the by back money to Hyperion?

ITEC LLC is the Kouri company that did this.

@Spectre660

Edited my last post, I got Tapul mixed up with Tachyon. I can't find any real info about Tapul, only that they were supposed to have purchased 421,052 share KMOS/Amiga Inc Delaware for the sum of $1,000,000.

Exceptions can be made with approval of Amigaworld.net staff, for example where the username is a company name to be shared by employees.

DiscreetFX is welcome to contact one of the members of staff by PM to discuss further, if he so desires.

We have other accounts used this way, HyperionMP comes to mind.
However, in this case, it would propably be a good idea for Tedd to get an account of his own if he wants to participate more in the discussion, just to avoid confusion of what it written by Bill and what is written by Tedd.

Thanks.

It seemed to make make sense because there seems to be just about as much information about Tapul S.A. on the internet as there is about KMOS.

Where did the $1,000,000 actually go? $225,000 of it was went straight into Garry Hare's bank account as back pay, he was paid $25,000 a month thereafter

@CodeSmith

I suggest you actually read a word or two of my suggestions. I never once suggested trying to Aquire AROS. I have no intention of repeating what I suggested. Look back through th thread.

@DFX

Which particular legacy 'must have' Amiga apps is it that your investors feel could not be replaced without significant disruption to your business plan? Why is being 'Amiga Compatible' so important? If you want to bundle a few legacy games with your devices (not a bad plan) then use UAE and some kind of launcher app with an icon which makes it seem that the games are being transparently launched.

Or are AmigaOS/MorphOS significantly easier to port to a mobile phone than AROS? Maybe they are, I don't know I'm no coder. But again it would have to be a truly significant difference to justify the figures being asked from Amiga.

I find it hard to believe that you have ten individuals/companies who are interested in a business plan that revolves purely around acquiring AmigaOS. Unless you're really talking about 9 ex Amigans with a bit of spare cash (and no business sense!) plus DFX partners.

I just realised the 2 names Bill & Ted of DiscreetFX.

"Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" was a film released in 1989 staring Keanu Reeves. Pretty good names for 2 Amiga enthusiasts don't you think?

Does Ted really exist BTW? Any proof that he does?

@Pleng

I was going by this (that's 10 words at least, give me some credit here!):

Quote:
And *ahem* AROS? Quite clearly the cheapest OS to license

Since one doesn't have to license OSS code (just use it and abide by the distribution rules), I assumed you meant that DiscreetFX would get their own proprietary "fork" of AROS.

He certainly seems the most well intentioned of all the companies out there. But these posts that when they get criticism all of a sudden we are told it was Ted using the account again just start going towards the whole wacky factor the other companies are already famous for. Its not something I think DiscreetFX should emulate. lol

@CodeSmith

I said it would be the cheapest to license because surely it would be, as it's open source. The revenue would come through value-added bolt on packages as I previously discussed. If you're interested look back through the thread.
