| I again,
well, i've installed owb 1.4 and this version works fine. But 1.6 not... I hope that for the next version it will work fine. Anyway, it's nice to c a GUI on it.

| Man, my hat is off to the coders on this one. Just based on the screenshots and the GUI layout, this thing is really the browser that the Amiga should have had for years now. Top notch, devs. Good show.

Have you installed all three .so file, and did you re-boot before launching OWB v1.6?_________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

Yes i've installed the 3 .so files (from SDL, and both on the site of OWB).

| I can't use the drop-down lists in V1.6... They were usable in the previous versions by triple-clicking(!) on them and then using the cursor keys. Tab also seemed to work on at least some of them.
Also, if I scroll down the page, the mouse becomes mixed up with the coordinations and thinks that it's pointing many pixels above... so when a link or button is at the bottom of the page it can not be clicked...

OWB Browser is really great. Tonight I uploaded a new version of my OWB_Gui at OS4Depot, which is a basic toolbar that makes the use of OWB even easier. Try this out.
In the new version there is a Google search textfield and a preferences window where you can set the window size and depth.
There is also the source included for everyone who wants to check this out, or improve it. It works with all the versions of OWB Browser with no problem.
Tell me what you think about it. _________________ Amiga-Look.org - Beautify your Workbench |

Why don't you merge your versions?
It's strange to change each time from version 52.x to version 1.x, don't you think? _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

This sounds promising, OWB might end up having lots of GUI's
Any way can you test your browser on www.vg.no, looks like it freezes there._________________ http://lifeofliveforit.blogspot.no/ Facebook::LiveForIt Software for AmigaOS |

yes me and joerg are working on same version. the source code now is stored in the Acube svn and we are merging all changes we do. I've implemented the Arexx port and Joerg is working on a lot of things.. he is really more expert than me.. Mine version (52.x) was the first version but i can change the version if you don't like it.. _________________ http://www.amigasoft.net |

This is really good news ! That's nice to see developers working together ! The project is big and I hope things will be improved faster with both Joerg and you.
Good work ! I tried version 1.6 this morning ... Only noticed there is no scrollbar. The mousewheel works but scrolling is very slow. |

Is there a possibility to include a parameter on the next version if someone doesn't want to have the extra window appeared and to give a file name where the log of the content of this window should be written? What I mean is that I don't want to see the errors that the OWB gives at the extra window but I might need them, so I could enable a parameter for the file that this log would be written!!
Thanks guys for your time _________________ Amiga-Look.org - Beautify your Workbench |

Doesn't redirection work? ie. owb >t:owb.log http://www.amigaworld.net
(hmm, seems to be a bug in the forum software there) Last edited by Chris_Y on 30-Jan-2008 at 10:43 PM.

How about a tooltype for setting the default homepage?
Just curious, would you guys be willing to share your work with the people working on IBrowse if they were interested too? _________________ 'unfixed' A1XE, 512mb RAM, plug-in USB card, Sil 0680 IDE card, Radeon 9250, built-in sound, OS4.1 update 5. |
