I have just installed the core_fonts, and the .font & .otag files provided by Joerg here (post #13), and the problem is solved.

| @Swoop Yes!! that did the trick thanks for the help. I was looking for those fonts for days. Didn't think to try sourceforge because it's just such an ugly site to navigate.

Oh. The new comic font causes Arteffect and notepad to crash. I had both progies set to use comic font. The new ms comic font has upper and lower case letters - not really traditional. SO i now use the Crimefighter font. Have to redo the text on some items I'm working on. Not good to change font in the middle of something.

I'm loving OWB 1.4, but somehow still can't get 1.6 or 1.7 to work. - Added ASSIGN SObjs: ... - Put the three .so files in it - Copied the 1.4 FONTS directory
It puts up a window titled "ELF Library" and complains of Missing objed required (twice).
Thanks for the help, JCC |

Thank you my friend for this bug. Next version will have it fixed (I hope)!
@afxgroup
I tried the following from shell rx "ADDRESS OWB OPENURL 'http://www.google.com/search?s=amiga' " and an arror occurs. Long URLs can't be used by this rexx command?

| OWB v1.7 is the first version to work for me on my A4k with OS4 classic. Looking forward to future updates.

| @afxgroup Also, in version 1.7 a problem with mail.yahoo.com after the login occurs. It never show the page. The version 1.6 does.
@all You can download the newer OWB_GUI from OS4Depot. Please, test it and give me feedback. It has the following changes.
v0.6 * Now supports the OWB 1.7 Rexx commands * Fixed bugs from the preferences, where the user was saving empty strings (thanks pvanni) * Checks if the OWB is started. If it is not, then it starts it. It has to be in the same folder as OWB. _________________ Amiga-Look.org - Beautify your Workbench |

| I was wondering, since AROS is without a Browser of any kind, how hard would it be to port OWB to AROS?

| @jahc & NutsAboutAmiga:
Yes, the july update is installed, but somehow I overlooked the directory.
The libraries are now where they belong, an extra dir and assign I created has been removed, OWB is working ... and everything is right with the OS4 world
Many thanks, JCC |

It actually seems pretty quick, when considering the hardware I am using, bandwidth (1.5Mbps) etc. Very usable indeed. I'm quite impressed.

Just a suggestion, but what about stack size. I have 1048576 as stack._________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

which tool have you extracted the OWB_1.7.7z archive? use this client for XAD using UnArc
Edited - wrong xad_7z version

Actually it would be better to use V1.4 here _________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.
