I tried your suggestion, but still no joy. I am back trying to get OpenURL to work. That file on OS4Depot might be corrupt. I downloaded it fresh again. The installer is still broken, but after manually installing the files again the Open URL preference is now working. Although there is still no joy here either.
I am tired and going to bed now. Maybe I will have more time tomorrow. _________________ Moxee AmigaOne X1000 AmigaOne XE G4 I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. |

AmgaiKit actually did a good job of packaging mine. The only difference I would make is to ship the OS4.1 box unfolded and flat.

I had a gfx card in my order, and the os4.1 box was unfolded and flat, with everything enclosed in a box, wrapped in bubblewrap. All arrived in perfect shape.

I am back trying to get OpenURL to work. |
OpenURL is working for me. I can only suggest: Be sure the OpenURL command is in C: Be sure the openurl.library is is in LIBS: If your OpenURL prefs program is in SYS:Prefs, be sure it doesn't have the same name as the OpenURL command or else it will be called instead of the command. Check YAM and be sure you don't have any script set for clicking a link._________________ X1000 with 2GB memory & OS4.1FE |

There is no duty on this stuff so I'm guessing you were charged brokerage or GST. UPS has a habit of charging about $45 for their brokerage for example. |
Well someone screwed up somewhere. It's definitely Canadian Customs, but they are charging me for twice the stated value ($318.90). Any idea if there's a way to dispute this?

| @Hans Customs should only charge you GST. Brokerage is some other fee usually around $5 CAD for the postal service.
You'll need to contact the federal government on that one. They have web sites so I suppose you can start there to find out where to file a dispute.
If you can, don't pay them any money but if you already paid you are in for a battle I think. _________________ ExecSG Team Lead |

I just got my copy. Canadian customs stung me with a $45 import duty. The down side to ordering from outside the country I guess. Now I'm just waiting until all my files are backed up to another drive. |
Just got mine delivered to my door in Mississauga. It took 4 days from Wales to Mississauga (near Toronto). Excellent. No customs fees, duties or service charges. Strange because GST and $5 surcharge is usually charged. |

Thanks for your advice. All of which I have done. The problem is solved now. It turned out to be a corrupt OpenURL download from OS4Depot. I downloaded it 3 times and in both of the first two downloads the Open URL preference file was flawed. On the 3rd download the Open URL preference opened and worked correctly._________________ Moxee AmigaOne X1000 AmigaOne XE G4 I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. |
