Well I can now confirm that my 21" Hitachi CML200UXW B TFT Panel works perfectly with the PAL minimig core.

No the problem was someone had opened the page for editing with a web browser that has problems with over 32kb and just cut the end off the file. I re-added the part from the edit history a few days ago before making the changes I wanted to make myself.

I just bought a serial null modem cable, trying to update the PIC at point number 7 (on your guide in news of disponibility of new core for Minimig) I obtain this error:

Connected to \\. \COM1 at 115200
Searching for PIC...
pic sending Unknown data: "K" 4Dh=M
Check baudrate & Start Write while PIC is not sending serial data (e.g. in reset)
ERROR!

What's wrong?
What can I do?

Is your Minimig from ACube? Is it first or second series, if it has the joystick and serial ports 3mm in then it's a first series and you need to change the PIC, if you have a new PIC then it might not work OR you are not pressing the RESET button within 4 seconds.

I can assure that I press RESET button within 4 second, and the error message is different from that reported by Darrin.

PS: Anche a te dà il mio stesso errore? Il mio Minimig mi è stato spedito da ACube un mesetto e mezzo dopo l'annuncio dell'esaurimento del primo batch (Enrico si era perso il mio ordine) quindi non so dirti con esattezza se faccia parte del primo o del secondo batch, però le porte ce le ha interne come mi hai detto te...

Contact Darrin on his email on amiga.org, he might be able to help, but if you havre never changed the PIC then like me you have the old PIC and it won't flash. ACube even sent me the replacement but that doesn't flash either...I am waiting for a new one, I hope.

I just noticed in the SD card this one here "Sandisk MMC 1 GB Yes Noticeably slower than other cards" I don't mind buying and using this card if I owned Minimig.

Hi, just popping in for a quick visit. Like The Daddy said, it sounds like you've got one of the original PICs without the bootloader. I had the same thing. I bought my Minimig from AmigaKit and aCube sent them new PICs and then AmigaKit sent me the replacement. Fitting it takes 5 Seconds.

If you didn't buy your Minimig direct from aCube then contact the seller too (they may have replacements in stock). Otherwise I'm sure aCube will help you as they seem to stand by their products with some great support.

I know it's frustrating, but hang in there. The new cores are worth it.

I hope Jakub's Hard File expansion board gets released and produced by someone as updating the PIC by just shoving in a USB flash drive will make life a lot easier.

Is it possible to get hard disk images working and boot & use Workbench as on an expanded A500?
