b(6:39pm) â^si尺µä¸,-ᄊ@å^¤ says:

- Strange caracters (â^si尺µä¸,-ᄊ@å^¤ ) is an email, not work. (my friend is hotmail.com).

b(6:39pm) jackass says:
hello

- If nickname (maybe or an additionnal setting on MSN settings account), work.

@jahc

note: change the post.

OK. all is fine now. my friend was using a chinese nickname because he like manga and chinese caracters not using on an amiga.

It's the fault of my friend and can't imagine this solution of the problem

I'm verry verry verry sorry, jahc, about the free time you have lost because of me and my crazy friend who use a chinese nickname on MSN. I'm so confuzed..

JAHC, you have made a transfert test with my friend on his PC.

My friend said that the transfert start and work untill 100% but the 100% data data wasn't save on the PC and a mesage said: not enough save space (for saving the final data on the PC).

tried to send a file to my friend. I have choosen the note_about_this_release.txt file (13.1 ko).

sabreMSN filetransfert window:

progdir:note_about_this_release.txt
size: 859701248 bytes

On the chat window:
File Transfer has started..
File Transfer Complete.

Thanks for all for sabreMSN, jahc

My friend tried to send me something but nothing at all on the amiga side.

some minuts after, I have recived on the chat window a: Unable to start file transfer!. And my friend just said that he receive 18 messages from me at the same time. In case that could help

@jahc

Just tested SabreMSN and it works fine it appears. I have one request though:
How about displaying that nice SabreMSN icon when iconifying instead of the default MUI icon?

Btw. Does/can it uniconify when someone types a message? Or atleast does it open the chat window when someone starts to chat when already uniconified?

@jahc: I brought this because doing what you promised two years ago (didn't know it was that long btw) would have solved your problems.

You concentrate on your beloved platform, and let other people port it to their favourite OS. No "troll"...

Please make it opensource, it's the only way to see it in life.. an I'de like to work on UI when I'll have time

@ShInKurO

You're responding to a post from 2 years ago that isn't valid anymore. SabreMSN is still (slowly) being worked on by jahc as far as I know.

@jahc

I think you should try and focus on the little easy things and mark features that are too difficult to implement (because of lack of protocol specs etc.) as "Infeasible" in you list

I could add that I haven't seen that crash anymore when a user types a message. I'm still using a beta though and it outputs sorting contacts in a console. Have you released this version yet?

The last I could wish in the beta I have is that myself also get one of those green/grey status icons, and possibly that the status of my contacts get all set to offline whenever I am offline.

@ShInKurO

Now that this is back on focus again, I am curious. How did you manage to dig this discussion from the grave? Amigaworld.net is very famous for this stuff, topics that disappeared 20 years come out again back to focus with another 30 responses. This always....fascinated me. So since you dug it out, what exactly did you do to dig out? Where you looking for this topic exactly? Did you just decide to go back in pages, reading every single topic until one got your attention? How did you manage to bring a two year old corpse that is dug deep in the ground out on the surface? Is your fascination of decomposing corpse and smell of decomposing flesh the reason to dig it out?
