@number6

SO let me get this right. C=HOLDINGS B.V essentially went bankrupt and then someone ran off with the Commodore rights leaving the parent company essentially without the rights, which it paid for, on the Commodore name?

is that right?

This from SEC today answers my prior questions. Heh.

(LOL)

Edit: LOL really needed to be in capital letters for that one

If he only noticed on the 14th, then sadly he doesn't read AW much. Heh.

Seems like it's not the only Commodore having issues.

Termination license agreement with C Licensing

That's yet another beef I have with this site.
The licensing arm of Asiarim is/was "Commodore Licensing B.V."
Why can't people use the same term when referring to the same entity?
It's just not professional.

C= HOLDINGS B.V. ("C=Holdings") and "Commodore Holdings Corporation".
Nice touch. Are we supposed to choose the name we like? Heh.

Pardon me. At the left we have "Commodore Holdings", so that makes 4 choices now.

My favorite google on this though is that there are NO hits for "Commodore Technology Corporation". But if you DO spell the word incorrectly, like they did...oh just lol.

@retro

Probably the whole 'spaghetti' mess can only be beneficial as it seems to be near impossible to tell without a doubt who owns what and what are they allowed to do with it.

@those who know

C= HOLDINGS B.V. ("C=Holdings")...is that the same as "Commodore Holdings Corporation"?

Surely it's still owed to the creditors though?

@Amiga_3k

Thank you.

@thread

January 6, 2012 Asiarim SEC filing in regards to the bankruptcy:

here

Quote:
the Company will work with the Receiver to provide all necessary information as requested under Dutch law and will try to recover as much as possible so as to satisfy the creditors of CLBV.

One obvious question. Due to recent events, has the EUR 250,000 initial royalty due from CUSA to Asiarim by December 31, 2011 become null and void as a result of this?

seems to be a confirmation

Rough translation from article a day after Barry's post here:
Quote:
commodore licensing BV, The Hague (Zuid-Holland) by a court in Almelo was declared bankrupt.

Does that sound about right?

Amazingly we had 4 were I used to work here in the Yorkshire Dales. They were 486s. Just standard PCs. They were quite good build quality. Back when things were made to last - in the good old days.

@thread

In order to keep the historical perspective by date I'm going to copy a post or two from another thread into this:
From December 28, 2011:

Quote:
Commodore trademark has a new daddy

After months of hard work and international legal filings, I am thrilled to finally announce that Commodore Holdings (C Holdings), which is the corporate entity that owns and holds the trademark IP "Commodore" is no longer a part of or a division of Asiarim Corp. The stock in Commodore Holdings was pledged as collateral years ago, and 100% ownership of that company is now in the hands of a new group (wonder who that can be?). Additionally, a ruling came down this afternoon from the Netherlands court that has formally put Commodore Licensing B.V. into involuntary bankruptcy. This bankruptcy proceeding was initiated by this same group. Asiarim and whatever else is left of it will shortly be following suit. The Netherlands court will be appointing a receiver for the bankrupt parties within the next day or two.

source

and also from December 28, 2011:

Quote:
Eugene van Os is truly the white knight is this adventure. Do not believe anything that was reported in the recent SEC filings by Asiarim. There were outright lies and misinformation filed that is being corrected and hopefully investigated by the SEC as we speak.

source

Now something new from December 29, 2011:

Asiarim Corp announced delayed annual 10-K filing

ok. We're back up to date again.
