Looks like all 3 versions are Altivec, anyone with a G3 is out of luck.

@1Mouse

MPlayer-GUI is the work of another programmer, so the answer is no.

@sundown

I downloaded the latest mplayer and can confirm that none of the versions will start up on my G3 machine - they all give the altivec warning.

@sundown

Yes it seems that all version is Altivec based now, surely it was an Andrea's mistake, better wait tomorrow or so for a new compile :-/

Nothing is impossible, we just need a normal collaboration between Afxgroup and Denill to do that

This version works on my micro with G3.

Please do all the dialup users a favor & only pack 1 of each version in any new archive. Or better yet, each version as a separate archive.

in the archive that is in queue at os4depot there are only the exe in the folder GenericPPC and Altivec, the exe in the root is no more present.. so it should be light.. separate the archive is too hard to track down..

Yea, why can't we have them in the same archive?

@afxgroup

You could send me a pre-release a few days before a release and tell me what changed regarding the GUI and I'll fix it and then you could release it with the GUI. If nothing has changed, just ask me if I have a new version anyway otherwise just include tha latest

Ok, no problem. At least the archive is smaller now, so that will help everyone.

You can, with your permission, & afxgroup remembers to include it with every archive.

@afxgroup
Thanks for the update, it works fine on my SAM, however, I seem to be getting considerible "green" distortion lines across everything if I open up something over MPlayer then close. I am using a 16bit screen. with composting off has anyone else had this problem?

cheers

@afxgroup

Thanks for this fine version and all the work you do. It works great on my mA1. I tried it with a DVD. I'd like to know why is it so slow. Even that I runned it p96pip, framedrop and in a window, it is really slow. Does anyone have the same result or it is just me?
