I was thinking about the Virtex too... "The Virtex-II Pro, Virtex-4, Virtex-5, and Virtex-6 FPGA families are particularly focused on system-on-chip (SoC) designers because they include up to two embedded IBM PowerPC cores.".

Good piece of research there! I assume that's what he said as I don't have a login, but that clears that theory up._________________ Amiga A1200, 3.1 ROMs, Blizzard 1230 MKIV 64MB & FPU, 4GB DoM SSD, Workbench 3.1 |

OMEN (NEMO) ENA (XENA) EON (XEON)
What about a Xeon-Processor?

| ok, Now I start to loose it again.
Have we fully found out the CPU(Soc) yet?
(I think we have quessed 1,2 and 8 cores? Could the anwer be 3 cores?)
So, xena most likely has no PPC stuff in it. But it could have SPE/DSP stuff in it? It could have connection to the RapidI/O of the CPU????????
What if the CPU is a custom made PPC for Amiga? The picture with the Amiga logo... what if it's the corner of the CPU?
Also the Sandblaster JAVA accelerator would be usable in place of xena... http://www.sandbridgetech.com/pdf/sandbridge_white_paper_2005.pdf Last edited by KimmoK on 04-Jan-2010 at 12:31 PM. Last edited by KimmoK on 04-Jan-2010 at 12:29 PM. Last edited by KimmoK on 04-Jan-2010 at 12:18 PM.

Here is the original Message from Jens at a1k.org, in short: He's definitly not involved.

what does this mean?

No, the A-EON partners didn't design the Nemo board in their garages, and no it's not an evaluation board! Goodness. It was designed by a highly experienced design team to A-EON's specifications. |

| Something else (I don't know if it has been discussed yet): In the screenshot with the 8 processes, each process is called 'giantkiller'. Now I don't think it's a normal Linux command and at least the name is made on purpose. So the process kills the 'giant' (= cpu). 'Titan' is also a giant. Both AMCC and AMD have 'Titan' cpu's.
Oh well...

| From the text I get that the last update is tomo, and that what they can reveal will be revealed.
So lets see if any bright heads can beat them to it _________________ A posting a day keeps the sanity away... |

| I think this riddle stuff is cool, as long as in the not-to-distant future, you can actually buy one. A big unveiling for vaporware is not cool at all. _________________ Amiga A1200, 3.1 ROMs, Blizzard 1230 MKIV 64MB & FPU, 4GB DoM SSD, Workbench 3.1 |

I don't have anything to do with it!! I'm guessing just as you are (ok, I know a tiny bit more, but not about 'X', 'Xena' or whatever). And I don't like DSP's since they make things complicated, hehe!
