| Seems like the more clues come, the more questions rise, the less seem to be answered.

The Software focus always must be present. Apart from great new HW, it's required to be in the front great applications. Hope the new OS version allows easier porting of widespread SW, coming from the opensource world (Linux). ;-D

You could compare writing style with this earlier classic from AW:
Quote:
Actually the whole twins thing isn't strictly true, it's just a cover story they tell people. Thomas is the product of a Commodore64 sprite multiplexing routine Hans-Jörg wrote that accidentally interacted with a Star-Trek style space/time anomaly and multiplexed its author.
When Hyperion start running the code on a C-One, it's hoped that the 'plexer will be able to run at 4-6 Friedens per frame, speeding up the development time of OS4 considerably. |

| Don't forget back in time in 1985 when the first Amiga came out, the 68000 was a quite normal 16 bit CPU, nothing special, Apple used it, SUN used it, even Atari used it. But Amiga made most of it. So I don't care if the new mystical CPU isn't the fastest available, but a pretty good and fast enough one. |

Very good. I've been trying to think of all the old Amiga journos that began with the letter A._________________ Sam |

| This riddle stuff is fun.
I came up with the word XO_MASK. X being the first letter, O being the letter where Nemo went into a rage (= guru fault error => OM), mask for what phoenicians used to see. And lo and behold, xo_mask has something to do with 64bit ppc bridge stuff and xilink fp/apu, whatever that is anyway.
Probably way off but i tried and give up Last edited by z5 on 04-Jan-2010 at 06:51 PM. Last edited by z5 on 04-Jan-2010 at 06:50 PM.

Well, Data bus was 16 Bit, Registers 32 and Address Bus 24. So it was in fact a 16/32 bit CPU.
But I agree with the fact it is'nt solely the CPU that makes a computer good. It's the overall of CPU, Chipset, Architecture, Firmware and OS that makes it. And Hyperion seems to acknowledge it aswell... Last edited by ErikBauer on 04-Jan-2010 at 06:55 PM.
